> 3 dayThe umbrella material, handle, and overall quality is excellent. It is very compact when folded up and fits in my backpack without any hassle, so its always with me should I need it. However, I bought it because I wanted a small yet sturdy and windproof umbrella. Living and using the umbrella in Philadelphia has shown me that the umbrella can do well in the wind, but its certainly not windproof. It will maintain its shape well up to moderate winds, but when there is a gust sweeping down the street, it will bend and flip inside-out.

19-11-2024Haven’t had a chance to use it yet. It was raining like crazy but the day I received it, it stopped raining! Oh well… Seems to be sturdy and it has a nice feel to it. Will follow up when I’ve had a chance to use it.

> 3 dayORIGINAL (2 STAR) REVIEW: Really great umbrella. Nice size, easy to open/close, good looking. Everything appears to be high quality, but I think they should use a higher quality stainless steel. As you can see, there is quite a bit of rust in my umbrella, after only 4-5 uses!! I reached out to the company via their website, sent the above pictures, but Ive heard nothing back. I want to like this umbrella, but I dont think I would purchase again, especially considering their (non-existent) customer service. EDITED (5 STAR) REVIEW: Apparently I have a very aggressive junk filter on my email client so it took a few emails from Balios before I received a response. They agreed that the umbrella shouldnt have rusted, and went above and beyond to get me a replacement. Assuming the rust was a manufacturing defect, this is a top notch umbrella. 5 stars for the replacement.

> 3 dayThis appears to be a sturdy umbrella and is fairly light in weight. The canopy is large enough to cover one average adult, or two preteens. I think that the wooden handle is good looking, but I find it a bit slippery and too lite to hold firmly. I prefer a rubberized handle. I think that the wood will become easier to hold after it absorbs some oils from the carriers hand. Also, one other point is the vented canopy. I noticed that carrying the umbrella at an angle into the rain and wind does not allow rain to enter, but it allows the wind to hit the person holding it, in the face. The wind appears to be drawn under the canopy, and then it is forced down on the head area. This is a problem if the umbrella is used in cold windy weather. This maker also offers a single canopy without the vent, but I suspect that it would be harder to carry on a windy day. The automatic open/close works well. It is a bit difficult to close, but I think it will be easier as the spring mechanism is used and it loosens with use. Over all this is a well built and good looking umbrella that is worth the price.

> 3 dayThis is what people call an umbrella. It looks great and functions well, a glorified stick with a waterproofed tarp around it meant to keep our heads dry as we rush scurry and scamper like rats in a sewer to stay dry from the inescapable deluge falling around us. But you know what else is inescapable? US. WE ARE THE NEXT DEGENERATION. WE ARE PXN.

Greater than one weekThis is a fantastic product that has my 100% approval! We’ve had a good bit of rain lately in the Williamsburg, VA area and I have been able to put some miles (or raindrops) on this product over the past few days. I work at a Public-Ivy College, and I’ve always struggled to find an umbrella that is structurally sound, stylish, and a reasonable price. The Balios Prestige Travel Umbrella is exactly what I needed! Here’s a more thorough breakdown: Packaging: I was very impressed that the umbrella came with its own “zip-up” case. This will ensure that the umbrella is safe and secure. In addition to this, the case has a hanger loop so it’s super convenient for coat hangers and fits like a glove. Structure: The structural integrity of the umbrella is probably my favorite aspect of it. The “open and close” button work great and smoothly transition. With its packaging (when not in use) and strong structure, I am confident that this umbrella will last for years to come. Heavy rain and wind were not a factor for this umbrella. Style: I absolutely love the wood handle! It brings an eloquence to the umbrella and gives it a more professional feel. It follows its description in being an “Iconic British Design”. The cursive writing in the wood with the brand name was the perfect touch. I definitely recommend this product!

> 3 dayI am so happy that I chose this travel umbrella! The quality is outstanding, seriously.... outstanding! I needed a size that collapses small, but still has normal coverage and this is exactly that. The actual umbrella itself is a very high quality thick waterproof material and it has the double canopy for those extra windy days. It also has a gorgeous wooden handle with grip. There is a button near the handle that releases and expands with a spring loaded mechanism, so opening and closing is a breeze. There is also a waterproof case with handle that comes with the purchase and to my surprise it was actually easy to get it back into the case after use! This is one of those purchases that I am patting myself on the back for buying because I know this umbrella is going to stand the test of time!
