> 3 dayI love the look of this umbrella! I have been traveling with it in Europe for 2 months now and it is fairly good for travel. It is lightweight enough and easy to strap to the side of my bag. On one of my first windy days, though, One of the arms did break though. It did not take too strong of a gust to break it. I havent had luck in poping it back into position, but it is still useable just not as aesthetically pleasing. Maybe dont buy this if you live in a windy city.

> 3 dayI am so happy that I chose this travel umbrella! The quality is outstanding, seriously.... outstanding! I needed a size that collapses small, but still has normal coverage and this is exactly that. The actual umbrella itself is a very high quality thick waterproof material and it has the double canopy for those extra windy days. It also has a gorgeous wooden handle with grip. There is a button near the handle that releases and expands with a spring loaded mechanism, so opening and closing is a breeze. There is also a waterproof case with handle that comes with the purchase and to my surprise it was actually easy to get it back into the case after use! This is one of those purchases that I am patting myself on the back for buying because I know this umbrella is going to stand the test of time!

> 3 dayI used to just buy the cheapest umbrella I could. My old one was turned inside out by the wind. So this time I thought I would invest in a quality bumbershoot. I looked at many on Amazon before finding this umbrella. The feel of this umbrella in your hand screams quality. Build: I chose this umbrella because it had two features I was looking for. One of which being heavy duty fabric to prevent it from ripping, especially along the ribs. The fabric is 300T which is almost double the 190T many ubrellas use. I has a very luxurious feel to it. Couple that with thicker ribs and you have a sturdy umbrella. The second feature was the double canopy to provide a wind proof experience that should in theory prevent this umbrella from turning inside out like my last one. Although I have used it int he rain and it rolled off like water off a ducks back, I havent used it in high wind yet. So I cannot attest to how well this feature will actually work. Other features that were not a must have but are a nice addition are open/close button, ergonomic handle and case. The push button both opens and closes the umbrella with a spring action. You still have to compress it, but the umbrella closes on its own. Nice feature. The handle has a nice soft rubber texture with knuckle grooves to make it ergonomic and comfy. It is not a tiny nub of a handle like some compact umbrellas, but yet not too big so the umbrella is still compact. Very comfortable to hold. Lastly the umbrella comes with a nice heavy duty sleeve case with a zippered side. I doubt I will use it, but nice addition. I usually just keep my umbrella in my truck on side of seat with ice scraper. I can honestly say I have never paid this much for an umbrella, but what a difference. This one is like a heavy duty tactical umbrella. The quality is apparent and the materials make it feel like high end. I am sure it will last for many years. I will update after testing it in the wind. Update: 6/30/17 So I have had the umbrella for a while and the material has held up well. The windproof design does not work as well as hoped. While walking into a store during a strong thunderstorm the umbrella still inverted. Also the automatic opening works great, but can be difficult to close at times. I still stand by the fact that this is a top notch umbrella that is made solid, but dont expect it not to invert during a strong wind. And it may not be ideal for someone like a child or elderly person who may not have the strength needed to collapse it back down after use.

> 3 dayThis is a fantastic product that has my 100% approval! We’ve had a good bit of rain lately in the Williamsburg, VA area and I have been able to put some miles (or raindrops) on this product over the past few days. I work at a Public-Ivy College, and I’ve always struggled to find an umbrella that is structurally sound, stylish, and a reasonable price. The Balios Prestige Travel Umbrella is exactly what I needed! Here’s a more thorough breakdown: Packaging: I was very impressed that the umbrella came with its own “zip-up” case. This will ensure that the umbrella is safe and secure. In addition to this, the case has a hanger loop so it’s super convenient for coat hangers and fits like a glove. Structure: The structural integrity of the umbrella is probably my favorite aspect of it. The “open and close” button work great and smoothly transition. With its packaging (when not in use) and strong structure, I am confident that this umbrella will last for years to come. Heavy rain and wind were not a factor for this umbrella. Style: I absolutely love the wood handle! It brings an eloquence to the umbrella and gives it a more professional feel. It follows its description in being an “Iconic British Design”. The cursive writing in the wood with the brand name was the perfect touch. I definitely recommend this product!

> 3 dayA very well made product. A tad on the heavy side and a little longer than makes for easy packing into a purse but excellent performance -- would work well even in heavy wind and rain. And the open/close feature is very good -- helpful with arthritic hands.

Greater than one weekGreat umbrella, but I wish the carrying strap was attached to the umbrella. There is a carrying strap but its attached to the sleeve. It would have been much better to have the strap attached to the umbrella itself so it can be carried around everywhere..

> 3 dayThis is a nice looking umbrella for sure, but it is missing an important feature which is the wrist strap. There is one on the case but not one on the umbrella itself. This makes the umbrella prone to flying away in windy rain conditions as well as not being able to let it hang on your wrist if you are commuting on a subway train without having to put it back in its case.

> 3 dayI bought several of these to keep in the car and at home. Compact size makes them easy to keep on hand and carry, The push button mechanism works well, once to open the umbrella, a second time to close it. Simply compress the shaft to recharge the spring and wrap and snap the close tab and its back in its compact form. These typically last 2-4 years before something goes wrong, they are trading light weight for durability, so I feel this is reasonable. I just purchased a few more I am so happy with the product

> 3 dayEvery hinge is rusting. I wouldn’t expect that after only two months. I’m worried that the wet rust is going to get on my clothes, so unfortunately I can’t use this anymore - other than the rust it’s great.
