The umbrella is great aesthetically, but the 2nd time i needed its use, it failed. Maybe because I had it in the car when it often was hot outside, but disappointed it didnt last long. Customer service brushed me off by directing me to manufacturer website, which I had contacted, but no response. I liked the feel for its ownership, but would not recommend if not for its beauty.

Really good umbrella. A little on the heavy side. Took away a star because no wristlet in umbrella. Only on the cover, which sometimes I put away! Difficult when having to carry several items in your hand.

This umbrella is a good value for the price but was out of stock when I ordered it. It is a great size and weight for traveling, either in a back pack or carry on. I’m not confident it can withstand heavy winds and the handle seems unusually small, but it has a good size canopy.

Updated review... The customer service was fantastic! I was able to get a full refund and replacement umbrella. Hopefully this next one will perform as expected. I have upgraded their rating from 1 to 4 stars because of the exceptional service. I would give 5 stars but I havent had an opportunity to test the new umbrella yet. I will update my review in the future based on performance (if warranted)! Previous review... I only used this umbrella two times and the third attempt was the last because it broke when I pressed the button to open it! I expected so much more than this and unfortunately I cant return it because Im outside of the return window. Epic let down!

I have used this umbrella a couple of times and took it with me on a couple of vacations. It works as advertised and I really like the design. My only issue with this umbrella is that it can only fit one person but thats the sacrifice you have to make when getting a sturdy umbrella. I do recommend this umbrella.

I love this little umbrella; this is certainly a quality product, and at ~$25, its a deal! I bought it primarily for the wood handle (my old umbrella had a rubberized handle and, after years of leaving it in the car, it turned to goo). As described on the website, the umbrella is definitely constructed with better materials than others (the shaft and hinges look heavy-duty and the canopy feels really nice). The open/close is great - especially the close (press the button when the umbrella is open, and it explodes closed). I havent had the chance to use it in the rain, yet, but its made a great sunbrella for walking across campus. Its 40 from tip-to-tip, which is a decent size, but probably wouldnt protect you that much in a heavy downpour. TIP: If you get the light taupe color (like me), gently wipe the hinges, etc. with a paper towel to remove any excess grease, so it doesnt stain your canopy.

I was so surprised when I opened this package. It was packed so securely and safely to avoid damage, and upon taking it out of the sleeve it was very clear that the umbrella was very good quality. I got it in black, which I think is complemented well by the wooden handle. It folds out to be quite large, but still packs away to a compact size, which is perfect for keeping in my backpack. I especially like that it has slits for the wind to pass through, as part of my daily commute includes walking between two very tall buildings that form a wind tunnel, and I have broken a lot of umbrellas in that tunnel. I usually pick up umbrellas for 15-20 dollars from the department store but they never hold up over time, so I decided to spend just 5 dollars more to get something higher quality, and I am so glad I did! Not only does it feel more sturdy in my hand, but it also survived the wind tunnel! I would recommend this umbrella to anyone looking to make a purchase of something high quality that lasts them a long time.

Expected solid quality for good price

Finally an umbrella that doesnt feel or look cheap. I waited till it was raining in order to do my review. Ive already used this umbrella several times and I must say, Im impressed. When I opened the umbrella, I was just looking at the detail finishes of it and everything looks good. I love the wood grain handle. It makes it look classy, but its not expensive though. I have a feeling that this umbrella will last me a long time. I also like the fact that it comes with a carrying pouch that you can unzip to take it out easily. Its also very easy to open and close it. All you have to do is click the button. I would definitely recommend this umbrella to anyone. Theres no point in even looking anywhere else. Just go ahead and get this one. Trust me, youll thank me later.

the umbrella mechanism broke after only a few uses of 1 of 2 ordered. Contacted Mercury the seller. they responded contact the company. contacted the company and they responded message received. And that was it. No phone # available. Been 3-4 months now and nothing.
