09-04-2025I grew up with this movie on VHS. My mother always hated it when I would pop it in for background noise. Now as an adult I can truly appreciate that camp that is the 60s Batman. Fully-loaded Barracuda repellent stocked in a helicopter? OF COURSE. If you enjoy this kind of stuff, not only to I say check out the TV series, I would also say go check out the Moore era bond films. These movies are dated in so many horrible ways, but they still seem to transcend generations. Good still fights evil, and there is still nowhere to get rid of a bomb.

> 3 dayThis DVD was a great surprise. The extra features including trailers, commercials and the behind the scenes stuff were fantastic! One of my favorite extras is the info on the design and building of the original Batmobile. Very cool! With the designer himself - George Barris. (Who also did The Munster Mobile, Patridge Family Bus and Kitt from Knight Rider.) This movie was made while the series was actually on TV and geared for the summer movies as a filler to keep Batman hot for the next season. It worked. This is a fun movie. All the original villians are there! Cat Woman, the Joker, Penguim and The Ridler. All astonishingly played by the actors who made over-the-top acting a household delight! (Especially Cesar Romero and Frank Gorshin.) Of course, Adam West and Burt Ward were at their best! The story is simple but the Bat props and effects are great! I loved it and had a lot of fun watching it on the DVD. It was meant as a series of pure relief and entertainment and every actor in Hollywood at the time wanted to be a guest villian on this show - and they were! KA-POW!

> 3 dayI grew up with the comic books and then the series Wowd us as kids. Then Batman The Movie came out and we got to go see him on the big screen. I think this version is more clear and better for viewing than even what I saw in the theater all those years ago. The commentaries and extras are great for DC fans. And getting it for $5.00 as an add on to an order I was placing makes it an even better deal. It you like anything amd everything Batman and DC then this is a must for your collection. You wont regret it :-)

> 3 dayI remember watching the reruns of the show back in the 80s. Loved it. Then I watched then again in the 90s. Funny thing is I had never really seen this movie. Id seen clips of it but never in its entirety. Movie is great, still holds its humor and adventure after all this time. Definitely a movie for a simpler, less technology rich time. Nostalgia probably has a lot to do with it honestly, but I still highly recommend it.

> 3 dayA bit much, right? Sorry about that, but this Batman incarnation is silly and fun and serves as a nice occasional break from the dark knight of todays movies. Actually, I didnt watch this Batman too much when it was on TV way back then. My 10 year-old daughter saw a PBS special about super heros on TV in the old days and wanted the pic and, being an old coot, now, I indulged her and ordered it. Surprisingly, I find it much more fun, these days. The video was used, very inexpensive, but in fine condition. The vendor got it to us in a timely manner. I am happy with this order, as I tend to be will all of my amazon purchases.

> 3 dayThis is the first single non combo Blu Ray I ever bought and I have to agree with commentary that nobody truly does campy as well as the classic Batman. Other that Jack Nicholson in 1989 Batman this movie has my favorite version of The Joker and for sure my favorite version of The Penquin. The way Blu ray sets up the special features differently from regular DVDs still takes some getting use to for me but I like both versions of commentary giving insight on the films and all the other extras on the batmobile and stuff. The story in simple as Joker, Penquin, Riddler and Catwoman team up for their greatest crime evil. Like an episode of the original Star Trek series where aliens dehydrated the Enterprise crew into crystals the criminals dehydrate the world leaders of a fictional version of United Nations into different colored power dust to hold ransom. The movie puts all the bat vechiles in the movie such as the bat copter, bat boat, bat cycle. Between their headquarters above a bar at the docks and Penquins submarine base the crooks seem to remain one step ahead of the dynamic duo till the very end of the film and come closer to destroying the cape crusaders than they ever did in the TV series. The only think that would make this movie perfect would of been if it came along late enough to of had Yvonne Craig star as her Batgirl character in it. She was the only person I missed watching the film.

> 3 dayYou missed out if you seen all the other Batman movies, but didnt see the original one! This original film from the sixties has a special kind of flair to it. Now, in some ways its like a comic poke at the time period for the adults that are seeing it, while also being an exciting and funny film for kids at the same time. The movie is packed with some big names of the day: Lee Meriweather, Ceaser Romero, Burgess Meredith, etc., and they all had to have had fun making this film!
