Greater than one weekHilarious movie- especially if you prefer Frank Millers harsher version of the character- but its the commentary tracks that really make it enjoyable even if youve already seen the movie. Recommended if you grew up on it- or want to mock it to no end. Either way this movie is gold.

10-04-2025You missed out if you seen all the other Batman movies, but didnt see the original one! This original film from the sixties has a special kind of flair to it. Now, in some ways its like a comic poke at the time period for the adults that are seeing it, while also being an exciting and funny film for kids at the same time. The movie is packed with some big names of the day: Lee Meriweather, Ceaser Romero, Burgess Meredith, etc., and they all had to have had fun making this film!

09-04-2025This version of Batman made in the mid-1960 was corny and campy, with bad acting. But I love the costumes, and all the bat gadgets, and the super villains who went toe to toe with Batman and Robin. The super villains are great campy characters, and good entertainment for some mindless fun. And Robin played by Burt Ward is so gosh darn golly good; he is the biggest cornball you will ever meet. It is hilarious. And of course Adam West who plays Batman takes himself way too seriously. Amazon Instant Video does not sell or rent the TV show version of this incarnation of Batman, but maybe they should. After all nostalgia sells well.........................

> 3 dayI had the pleasure of watching this movie -- and the accompanying TV series -- in two different, but equally enjoyable, phases: First, as a 4th grader when they were first released in the 60s -- when I took them at face value as super hero adventure stories; and later, as an adult, reveling in the campy humor and the droll, dead-pan delivery of Adam West. This is a very corny movie -- but in a good way! Lots of fun. I especially enjoyed watching it while listening to the commentary by West and Burt Ward. And by the way, though Im not a kid any more, I still want that Batmobile in my garage, and want to take the Bat Boat out for a high-speed run!

Greater than one weekThis is the first live action Batman movie, and its really goofy. The special effects are really dated now, the shark at the beginning was very fake looking, and everything Batman owns has to have Bat attached to it. The villains are cool. The Joker is still my favorite Batman villain, and Caesar Romero is a great Joker. Not as good as Heath Ledger or Jack Nicholson, but still good. The Penguin was cool. The Riddler was good. Catwoman was good. The plot of the movie is over the top and very weird. Not much I can say about this one. If you are a fan of Batman, youll want to see this to see how Batman became a comedic hero. Still a good, enjoyable movie.

> 3 dayThis movie, starring Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin, kept up with the 1960s campy version of the series it spun off from, and was just plain fun to watch. I purchased this movie for the purpose of reviewing it for Classic Cinema Online, as Im comparing live action Batman from the 1940s to the present, and am enjoying their many differences. This movie, as cheesy as it is, fits right in - no disappointments here! Of all the Batmans, this one makes for the best family entertainment, being suitable for children of all ages, and I highly recommend it because of how fun it is to watch. I ordered this new and it arrived on the day anticipated in excellent condition.
