I started using it mainly at night so two days ago I filled it like normal and checked on it before I fell asleep. Everything seemed fine. Well, a couple hours later I woke up and heard dripping. Water was all over my brand new nightstand and on the floor. Half asleep, I tried to sop up the water as best as I could but it leaked down into the drawers of my brand new nightstand and now there’s water damage. Please pay a little more for a better humidifier. Preferably the kind that you can fill at the top. I just purchased one for $50 and it’s so much better.

How to Clean My Humidifier?
We suggest that you clean the humidifier every three days. That might sound like a lot of work, but it’s worth doing to avoid the dreaded humidifier lung.
1. Unplug and disassemble your humidifier.
2. Fill the tank with water as you normally would, but add 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar (citric acid powder, or a similar weak acid also applied)
3. Let this mixture sit in the tank for 30 minutes.
4. Empty the humidifier, and use a cleaning brush and cloth to scrub any areas with buildup.
5. Rinse all the parts and let them air dry for 30 to 60 minutes before you’re ready to use the humidifier again.
