Directions do not say how to put in essential oils except in diagram says aromatherapy box but there are 2 ways you could put the oil when looking at the box. After never using essential oils I was afraid to use this feature. I cannot say if it is easy to clean or not as I just received the unit.

> 3 dayThis product does not last as long as stated because it outputs way too much vapor, even at the lowest setting. I have to turn it off and on all the time to adjust the humidity in the room; if I leave it running, it becomes a jungle. I would only use this in a large room you are constantly present in to adjust the humidity and not in a room you need to keep at a reasonable humidity level without intervention.

Terrible instructions, nothing about using the aromatherapy holder. Gets surface wet when you remove top to fill I’ll use this until it breaks but will look for a top fill unit in the future

How to Clean My Humidifier?
We suggest that you clean the humidifier every three days. That might sound like a lot of work, but it’s worth doing to avoid the dreaded humidifier lung.
1. Unplug and disassemble your humidifier.
2. Fill the tank with water as you normally would, but add 2 tablespoons of distilled white vinegar (citric acid powder, or a similar weak acid also applied)
3. Let this mixture sit in the tank for 30 minutes.
4. Empty the humidifier, and use a cleaning brush and cloth to scrub any areas with buildup.
5. Rinse all the parts and let them air dry for 30 to 60 minutes before you’re ready to use the humidifier again.
