Get these regularly for our office, and 2 of these so far had the foam inside busted, a used HDMI cord with white.. paint? All over the cord. All the plastic baggies were just stuffed in the box, when normally each cord/manual has its own baggie. Dont know if these were returned and they re used them or something but was kinda iffy about using them. Luckily they still work as of now though....

I purchased this as a second monitor and decided to go a little bigger and this was a great price to size choice for me. The colors dont feel as good to me as my other monitor, but it delivers in its size, decently thin bezel, and the speakers are a nice addition too. (The speakers arent the greatest, but they certainly do the job of saving you a few bucks)

11-3-2020 --I had email and phone conversation with BenQ Customer support. None of their recommendations fixed the issue, which is that the screen goes black for 2 seconds 20X -40X a day. This monitor is used for Work, so in addition to being irritating, the situation is also disruptive, as I work from home like so many today, and in front of my monitor from 8am to 6pm. After none of the recommendations worked, they asked me to ship back the monitor in the original box - yeah, like i kept that box. I have NEVER in 20 years had this issue with a monitor. So the next option required, pack monitor up in a box so that no damage occurs during shipping, otherwise you are responsible for damage. They did send RMA slip. I suggested that they ship me a new replacement monitor (same model) and I would then ship back the current dysfunctional unit in that monitor packing box as an exchange. The ONLY option is to be without a monitor for who-knows-how-long and ship back to BenQ. I need a monitor of some type to do my job, so it is challenging to ship this unit back, and wait indefinitely for another monitor. (no timeline was given for how long to determine issue, etc) . If you choose to buy BenQ and do not get a lemon, you are in good shape. But if you do get a lemon, the customer service options are TERRIBLE. For now, I am going to make-do until I can afford to buy another monitor from a different company than #BenQ *** If I could give a negative star rating, I would. Since my review, the issue is getting worse. I work from home, and on my monitor 8 hours a day. The monitor goes blank 5X an hour. 40X a day. I have checked every connection, changed the setup, etc. I bought this expensive monitor to replace an $80 17in that I had for 5 years, and never a problem. UNBELIEVABLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!! For some reason, the screen goes black for about 1-2 seconds about constantly. Suggestions are to check for loose connections. That is not the issue but the only explanation or fixes given for constant screen issues. Very annoying since I use this monitor for work, and during a presentation the black screen is incredible disruptive. I have never had other cheaper monitors to hav this issue. I cannot recommend BenQ.

So I had a ViewSonic Monitor before that running 60hz and similar dimensions but the LED had apparently been broken. I wanted a new monitor and then I came across this one. Its nice and has a clean feel to it. Games still work and are smooth at 60hz but I never really had experiences with 75hz +. So 60hz is what Im use to and comfortable with. Anything lower than 60hz would not be consider good for gaming. Set up was very simple took me less than 5 minutes I didnt even need the setup guide to figure it out. Brightness is average I recommend turning up the brightness and contrast if you like well lit screens. Overall its a nice monitor if your looking for a replacement or looking to buy a brand new one.

Using this as a wall-mounted vertical (portrait) display monitor, HDMI input, showing a slideshow at a business, near the business entrances. It worked right out of the box. The wide 178/178-degree viewing angle was the selling point. Not using DisplayPort, so I dont see any of the DIsplayPort issues mentioned by others. Walking past the monitor horizontally, the brightness is not totally continuous, but its very good - just fine for my clients purposes. Ive had several unsolicited positive comments on the increased viewing angle since replacing the old monitor. So far, no quality issues. A big plus (typical these days) is that if the power fails while the monitor is on, it powers back up by itself. BTW using the Gofanco HDMI -> twisted-pair dual-monitor extender (plus HDMI pass-through, so Im really feeding 3 monitors), also purchased from Amazon, with shielded CAT6 cable, and that is working flawlessly. FYI, resolution of the Gofanco device is limited to 1024, which is not an issue with me.

There is a discernible horizontal line cutting through the middle of my screen that shows through all applications, under it both side edges have a white halo effect coming in about half an inch and fading gracefully into what is a noticeably slightly lighter bottom half of my screen. Dont believe the hype on these. I have a second (same model) one that has other issues I wont rant about here. Best of luck, I would go with another brand. never had any other brand blow out so quickly in my many many monitors over my years.

Perfect!! Multiple display connections for whatever you have your rig set to. Comes with hdmi to hdmi cord. SPEAKERS: I read a lot of salty reviews on these here’s my take: on max they are a comfortable volume that I don’t think my house mates hear it throughout the house. I use headphones for surround sound accuracy, however, I used the speakers solely for a few weeks before switching back to headphones and was happy enough! NO EYE STRAIN. We all know what’s going on by now, work and school from home plus casual game streaming lead to some major eye strain, this has made my pandemic life a little easier. It increased my eye endurance which helps my focus. No strain since I started using this screen! Colors are beautiful, there are no flickers on the screen at all it runs my FPS rates flawlessly. I still have my old monitor and the color contrast is like looking at two totally different pictures. My roommate has 2 Benq monitors and this is my first, the technology in these are phenomenal and I highly doubt I’ll venture into other brands. Came quick, connects quick, great experience.

I got this monitor for eye protection as it has less blue light. It’s great! Very nice screen size & color. Delivered quickly & packaged well.
