I’ve had this projector for about a year and I absolutely love it!! The picture is great but don’t cheap out on a projector screen then no matter how good of a projector you have the picture won’t be perfect. It’s a little noisy but when I’m watching a movie I never hear it. I recommend dynamic iris on high, color enhancer & pixel enhancer at a 2 or 3

Bought this in August 2019 and Vertical lines on half of screen after only few hours usage during the weekends.

I love this projector, for the cost, what you get, its great. But also with the price point, you get absolute trash customer support and warranty through benq. I have sent this projector to them multiple times for random things. Had a Fan die, when it came back, the color wheel was having issues, when it came back the next time, I noticed there was a screw and broken pieces of plastic rolling around inside the projector, they had also broken one of the main case supports. So, I sent it back again....the next time I got it back, all seemed ok....until today....my lamp is at 973 hours....the first one lasted me 5700....and now my lamp is flickering and dying....Humm. so, I opened it up because I have a spare lamp, and I find out that some idiot has replaced my lamp mounting screws with some kind of standard computer fan screws! They drilled out the holes on the lamp but didnt bother drilling out the mounting holes on the projector itself! So every single new lamp I get, I have to modify to make it work! It doesnt even mount up properly, i have no idea how they have got away with this kind of customer support for so long but wow. I am floored. Worst support i have ever experienced in my life. As of now, I have sent them another less than pleasing email expressing my disdain and asking for my original mounting screws back.

After a 45 min installation replacing my previous Epson, I struggled to get the picture formatted correctly only to eventually find out on Reddit that even though I have 16 my screen was too small for this projector as it does not have a digital shrink feature. Check your distance and screen size before ordering. I thought I did my homework as I looked at every projector I could find on the $1500-$2k range. That being said, once I moved it closer and remounted on the ceiling it works really well. The picture is so much better than my old one and switching between Bright during the day and Cinema mode at night gives me a great experience and a great picture anytime. While this is not true 4k most people will not know the difference and unless youre side by side, most likely cant tell.

I absolutely loved this projector when it was new. It was an upgrade from the BenQ W1070. The picture quality was top notch, bright, and crisp. The installation was simple as it worked great with the ceiling mount I already had installed. I removed the W1070 and slipped the HT3550 right into place. The love affair is quickly coming to an end though as the pixels are dropping like flies. It started with one off to the side and I was okay with that. Then a second died, then a third, forth.... Its up to six now and its becoming unbearable especially when its a really dark scene in whatever Im watching. For the price of this item, I would expect it to last a longer than it has.

This projector was a direct upgrade from an HT2050A and is my first 4K unit. I have to say, the sharpness of the image and richness of color continue to blow me away in the past few days Ive had it installed. The improved contrast due to the inclusion of a dynamic iris is an added bonus as well! My Home Theater is fairly small, being 11x13ft in size, so my front row is close to my screen. This was manageable with the 2050A as long as you didnt learn forward, but literally standing a foot from my screen I can hardly make out individual pixels. I skipped the 2550 last year because it seemed like it had a little too much baggage. But just like other reviewers have stated, I think BenQ nailed it with this projectors performance at this price point and many will make the jump over to 4K. Amazon for its part seemed completely aloof as to the stock situation with the HT3550, so fortunately I was able to acquire one elsewhere and couldnt be happier!

In a location where half a dozen phones and computers have no trouble streaming video over wifi, this projector stutters and struggles. We usually end up plugging a laptop into hdmi, even though the reason I bought this model was to go wireless.

Before buying this projector, i did do a lot of research. Criteria for buying this projector: 1. Price below $1700 2. 4K capability 3. HDR10 capability 4. HDCP support 5. Best for watching movies in dark room 6. Small Room With the above criteria in mind, i narrowed down to two projectors: The Optoma UHD60 and the Benq HT3550. Reason to choose Benq: 1. Projects 100 from 8.2ft so works in small room 2. Small footprint 3. HDR10 compatibility and the Rec 709 coverage. While the Optoma has better contrast ratio and higher lumens so in theory is a better projector but to watch movies i found the picture quality of Benq better. I did watch contents on both(not side by side). So far I am happy with my purchase and the picture quality has been really great. I watch Netflix HDR content and they are visually so appealing.

I cant deny that the picture on this is pretty damn good. However this comes with an Android TV stick connected to it for an extra $100. However Netflix is not supported on their version of Android TV. You are much better buying the TK-850 and not the TK-850i and just getting a fire stick or something. This is very very disappointing.

Be amazed by authentic HDR intense binge watching and sports viewing experiences -- even in well-lit rooms. It’s easy with TK850i 4K HDR smart home projector powered by Android TV. Glide through simple set up, then kick back and enjoy 100”+ projected 4K UHD 8.3 million pixel pictures and stellar audio. Whether it’s your first home theater projector or an upgrade, you’re sure to love TK850i with Google-certified Android TV sporting events, movies, and games from the Google Play Store.
