> 3 dayI always wanted to upgrade to 4K projector from my previous 1080p EPSON projector(which I was very happy with). Did lot of research and finally shortlisted benq ht3550 and LG hu70la. I got the lg delivered first. Though it was on Black Friday sale and picture was good, I still did not feel it had the eye popping picture. I had the benq delivered next and immediately noticed the difference in image quality. Have been using it for 1 month now. I am very happy so far. Will definitely recommend.

> 3 dayI purchased the BenQ HT3550 4K Home Theater Projector for this Christmas 2019, so far everything seems great in SDR format but when I use HDR the picture is a dark blue, everything is a shade of blue, I tried to make changes during but it doesn’t seem to change it much, setting different lamp brightness, picture modes and using the brightness/contrast as well as changing the Cinema settings pretty much have no effect, it remains blue… 12/27/2019 Currently I am awaiting a response from BenQ, and depending on the answer I will revise my rating, I wish I could give this 5 stars, I owned a previous BenQ projector (1080p) and it was fantastic! 12/29/2019 Update: Flashed to the newest firmware and reset all settings, I am happy to say the blue HDR has been corrected, and the picture is wonderful, but when disabling the pixel motion enhancer the fan is extremely loud with what sounds like an internal vibration noise. I will be returning this projector for another like unit in hopes that it was a defect or damaged in shipping...

> 3 dayPros Good picture quality and contrast. Good value at this price point. Cons Only for dark room experience even small bulbs can cause corners to brush and colours go fade. Quite bulky hence need professional service to do the mounting. Speakers are functional dint particularly like it. Would recommend only for those who wants to make serious home theatre setup in a dedicated dark room.

> 3 dayLook, its a nice PJ. Its quiet enough and resolution is great. It is picky about the strength of your HDMI signal - there are plenty of older HDMI receivers that will not have enough signal to light it without (at least) tweaking the settings in the built in HDMI Equalizer. Even when you do, it is inconsistent and fussy with resolution. If you wire it straight from the source (Apple TV, PS4) these issues do not present. I am upgrading from an 8 year old 720p DLP unit, and have never been able to see the rainbow effect with it - on this one, I can see it in the whites every time, without fail. Also, this thing is bright. On its least powerful settings, I still had to mount an ND filter to the front to get it dark enough in my completely light-controlled theater. (No, you cant adjust brightness and fix this, brightness is a component of the picture adjustment, not the lamp output.) While the color rendering is truly terrific and remarkably-tweakable, the sharpness really does leave something to be desired. While there are work arounds for the other issues I have with this PJ, there is no fix for underperforming glass, and this is ultimately why it was returned. What can I say, its mounted dead level, flat and true and it is discernibly soft at the edges of the screen. My screen width at 16:9 is 87, it starts to lose focus about 13 from either side. The lens just isnt up to it. You can see it in programming and it is very obvious using the (internally generated) alignment grid feature. I really, truly wanted this thing to work out and Ive tried accommodating it every which way - lots of people obviously love this PJ - in my experience... its just not cutting it. For similar money, the Epson is hands down a superior product in every possible way.

> 3 dayI bought this product to watch movies outside with my kids, this projector impressed me very much with its image quality. I would buy this again, and very much reccomend this to anyone who is looking for a good projector at a fair price.

Greater than one weekI expected a lot about this projector but as soon as I turned on, there were lines left side- I thought it was for alignment or something but over time, the lines don’t disappear. So disappointed.

> 3 dayGreat projector! Purchased this projector to replace a Mitshibishi one I had for years and it didn’t have 4K. This projector with 4K has such a great picture I don’t know why I didn’t purchase it sooner. Very happy with the product. :)

> 3 dayI am using BenQ HT 2550a for last two years and I am fully satisfied with its performance despite being a 1080 projector. Thought of upgrading to 4K and ordered 3050. I cant believe this product is from same company who made 2550a!! Poor image quality, far less brightness, contrast ratio not even close to its predecessor (dont pay much attention to whats written in specs). Returned it on the first day and planning to keep my old 2550a for some time.

> 3 dayPowers on. Orange light goes to green flashing. Then steady. Annnndddd..... nothing. No light, no engine, no sound. And.... No manual, just a quick start guide. So no clue as to whats happening. First projector experience. Did a lot of research. What a bust. Ill call them during work hours, but seems like i got a $1500 lemon out of the box. Unless the lamp takes hours to warm up. Days later - So they haven’t Sent a replacement and I’m 1400 out of pocket. The lemon shipped at a cost of $25 to me last week. I was told they wouldn’t wait to ship replacement
