I love the color and the look of the luggage. But my first trip going PHL to LAS my large bag did not handle well with (southwest airline) philly baggage handlers. When I retrieved my bag in Vegas it was scuffed up AND dented. I was soooo embarrassed. I wouldve appreciated the purchase if the durability was better like the reviews said. For the first use and the the first leg of a round trip Vacation it should not have been dented and beaten up the way it was. Also... pulling 2 bags on the MGM Grand hotel carpet floor to the rooms was challenging.

I like the weight and maneuverability of this set. It survived its first trip on an airline with no major dings.

We used on a resent trip, I like the locks and the wheels have good movement.

So big inside, smooth wheels.

So the first set I got had a major dent in the corner. Thankfully I ordered way in advance for my trip. It was a quick Amazon exchange. The next set was un-damaged. However, trying to reset the lock didn’t go well. The push button to reset it got jammed in and now won’t work. But I got it to work on one of the other pieces. So I just bought a separate TSA approved luggage lock.

We LOVE the spin wheels. So much easier to move around in airports and hotels. You do have to watch the balance a little but not like our old 2 wheel rolling suitcases that would topple when resting. Biggest negative is that instead of flipping a lightweight zippered top up against a wall to get into the soft sided suitcase, you MUST have room to open the entire suitcase out flat, both sides, since each side is packed separately and there is a zippered flap between. Just didnt think that part thru. Been a long time since the old Samsonite where you had to lay it out flat. It holds a bunch, but all in one of two spaces. I miss the outer pockets for smaller separation but the ease of travel is terrific. There is a strap that could hold some things in the one side if you open it upside down but I wouldnt count on it to hold much. Color is eggplant-ish - not bright purple. I did buy separate luggage tags - remember no built in cloth slot for your address card like the old softsides. Oh, and sometimes the space between the two sides, the cloth near the zipper area, can fold in on itself and make it harder to zip up. Just have to hold the hard side up a little to give some resistance. Great price and bought just in time for sudden trips we had to make due to family issues. So happy I had these ready to go!
