Bird Carrier, Bird Travel Carrier for Parrot with Wooden Perch and Tray, Bird Carrying Carrier(Blue, Bird Carrier)

Not what I expected.
> 3 dayWhy not a top load and unload? Trying to remove a parrot flapping around from the sides, in such a small space, is a nightmare. Being able to open from the top, lower a towel down onto her back is easiest and safer for the bird and its parent.

Greater than one weekCage will collapse when larger zip is open. The perch cannot be tighten so it is very wobbly which made my bird quite car sick and distressed. Do not purchase this product. Not designed well.

> 3 dayIn theory, this is a really great idea, but since the bird was able to chew a hole in the same within an hour, its probably not the safest way to be transporting a bird.

02-06-2025This carrier is very well designed: easy to get my bird in because the whole side unzips, easy to clean because of the stainless steel tray, and the shape makes it easy to carry and situate in the car. The flap that covers the front is great, too, because it helps keep my bird warm when I move him from the house to the car in the cold weather. Why only four stars, then? First of all, a number of the reviews I read said that the carrier included food/water cups. Since my birds make somewhat long trips with me, some way of providing food and water is a necessity. Mine however did not include the cups. Second, I am worried about how well the material will hold up to determined beak. I have used the carrier to bring my cockatiel to the vet, and he seems to find the mesh/screen parts irresistible. I am afraid he will manage to put a hole in it, and, if a cockatiel can do it, a bigger bird could get through it in a very short time. So, if you are not making long trips and do not have a beaky bird, I think this carrier is really good. I just wish it had the two things I need because there is a lot I like about it.
