> 3 dayFor skiing this year we are required to wear masks around the load and unload areas. This comes up high enough over my nose with little effort, even with mittens on. It also pulls down super easy when needed. I have other older model BS balaclavas and this version has some extra fabric around the nose and mouth to allow it to have some extra protection and keep ice crystals from forming when breathing, at least in 20 degree temps. I would highly recommend.

> 3 dayLost the first one, probably in a ski resort parking lot somewhere in the PNW. It was great and I didnt even consider other options because I was happy with the original.

> 3 dayGreat quality. I’ve had a Serius and Columbia balaclava for the same price, but the Blackstrap is way superior in quality, comfort, design, and fit. Especially as the other two had small breathing holes/perforations near the mouth. Had to buy this one to use while snowboarding at the resorts to also function as my face mask as I did t want to wear another mask under my other options. I have 2 already for kids which they have used for skiing for the past couple years and love.

> 3 dayMy brother bought the ~$15 Tough Headwear mask when we went to Colorado and I had this one. This one didnt freeze and was fantastic the entire time. His froze on the colder days.

> 3 dayOne of my best purchases for winter this year. Used on -10 degree wind chill days to walk to work, and on a skiing trip. Keeps the cold and wind out, and really seals those cold leaky spots like the bottom of your hat around your ears and the area at the back of your neck between your hat and jacket. Perfect for skiing- breathable but doesnt get soaked (and then icy) like a fleece gaiter does. Easy to pull down the bottom part when youre warm.

> 3 dayNice printing but not very warm. On the cold days or days on the top of the mountain make sure you wear something warmer. Not really worth 30 bucks.
