BLACKSTRAP Hood Balaclava Face Mask, Dual Layer Cold Weather Headwear for Men and Women

I am not normally a winter runner, but this definitely came in handy this past winter. It was a little big (compared to a different balaclava I have), but sometimes I found myself liking the little bit of extra space (I do also have a fairly small head/neck). The extra space made it easier to pull down off my nose and mouth if I wanted. It made me feel not quite so claustrophobic in it as compared to my tighter one. The designs are fun and I always got complimented on it.

The balaclava looks great, good stretch and great features. The convertible portion of the product doesn’t really work. When its used as a half face mask it tends to slip off even for bigger heads. The stitching for the product is unfinished all of it comes undone. This is from 3 balaclavas I bought from here all of the stitching comes undone from the package, no wash.

Great for skiing. I love hinged or convertible balaclavas, because I tend to run hot. So it is nice to be able to pull it down below my mouth, just over ot or all the way to cover my nose. Comfortable material, washes well. Great price, soI purchased more for my kids and for spares.

Works great I put a knit beanie under for extra warmth.

One of my best purchases for winter this year. Used on -10 degree wind chill days to walk to work, and on a skiing trip. Keeps the cold and wind out, and really seals those cold leaky spots like the bottom of your hat around your ears and the area at the back of your neck between your hat and jacket. Perfect for skiing- breathable but doesnt get soaked (and then icy) like a fleece gaiter does. Easy to pull down the bottom part when youre warm.

Lost the first one, probably in a ski resort parking lot somewhere in the PNW. It was great and I didnt even consider other options because I was happy with the original.

My boyfriend told me to buy this brand... perfect fit... great choices in print and color... but I was stubborn and didnt want to pay for the price... I bought a cheap one and it was terrible... I returned it and paid for the blackstrap and I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT... soooo warm for snowboarding esp on the lift. Its perfect and lightweight... doesnt choke around the neck... the chin flap comes down as a separate piece so doesnt choke your neck

I like the colors of this balaclava, thats why I ordered it. I took it on the slopes a few weeks ago and found it REALLY hard to breathe through, it did keep my face and neck warm on the chairlift, but it was making my googles foggy from trying to breathe through it so hard. There is also no easy way to pull the front down to wear under your chin because it is sewen near the eyes. If it was sewen I think it would be much easier and fit more comfortably if you didnt want to wear it over your face.
