> 3 dayThis is definitely worth the time it took to install it. It was hard for me at first as I had to adjust my router to seperate the 5.0 and 2.4hz of the router but once I got that done, it made it so much easier to turn on my light when I needed them.

> 3 dayBought this to operated outdoor heating cable on roof of home. Connected to my Wi-Fi first try, easy to program and has been working as expected. Temps have been in the twenties and lower and the controller is turning off/on as programmed.

> 3 dayRead the instructions and use the Easy setup. If you try to connect to your network intuitively (like the other 8 smart devices I have connected worked first time) you will waste hours - it just wont find the plug. Also, if you have a dual frequency mesh network like mine, the app will tell you that youre on a 5Ghz network and lead you to believe that you cant connect -- ignore that and press continue anyway -- thats the only way to get connected. Now Ill wait for winter to see if it is really waterproof as they claim (guessing it will fail one week after the free return period expires).

> 3 dayIts able to survive the elements and will work as expected, however its finicky to get into pairing mode to join the WiFi network. Once you get past that, its a cinch to control. I love that it works with the SmartThings app so I dont need to install yet another app. My router died recently and the replacement uses the same SSID for the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks, so now I need to go though the pain one more time for setup! Other than that, its a decent unit.

> 3 dayIt took a while and a fair amount of research to connect the plug to my WiFi network. The instructions are wrong and the product does not appear on the list of devices on the app you are directed to install do operate the plug. Although the plug appears to be manufactured and sold by BN-LINKS, you can only control the plug via an app from Feit Electric,. The instructions instructions direct you download and install an app from the manufacture (BN-LINKS) to a mobile device to be able to control the plug. I could detect the plug but not control it. When I tried to connect the plug to Alexa, I got a notice and a link to update the app. That led took me to another company’s app, which when I attempted to instal, actually downloaded an update to an app from Feit Electric (which I just happened to have to control some other devices). The Feit app located and connected to the plug and to Alexa.

> 3 daySetup was a little spotty as the app does leave something to be desired. Automatic detection has never worked. Manual setup was fairly easy but the postage stamp of an instruction book leaves a little to be desired but there are instructions online. Once setup and timer function was setup it has only been 30 seconds off.

Greater than one weekI find the Smart App for them better than the BNLink app. It takes a while to figure out things like Dusk to Dawn setting - not obvious. But once done Scenes is brilliant.
