Works just like it should.

This was so easy to setup and use with the Smart Life app. It was a great option to control and dim the lights on my deck.

It took a while and a fair amount of research to connect the plug to my WiFi network. The instructions are wrong and the product does not appear on the list of devices on the app you are directed to install do operate the plug. Although the plug appears to be manufactured and sold by BN-LINKS, you can only control the plug via an app from Feit Electric,. The instructions instructions direct you download and install an app from the manufacture (BN-LINKS) to a mobile device to be able to control the plug. I could detect the plug but not control it. When I tried to connect the plug to Alexa, I got a notice and a link to update the app. That led took me to another company’s app, which when I attempted to instal, actually downloaded an update to an app from Feit Electric (which I just happened to have to control some other devices). The Feit app located and connected to the plug and to Alexa.

I can turn off lights when away from home and dim all from my phone. No need for sophisticated network… just wifi and smart phone.

How the ability to set a remote timer for outside string lights on multiple schedules for weekday and weekends is great. I went back and bought other items from this company that works on the APP. LIFE Changing on how you operate items around your house.

I use this plug to connect my patio string ambient lights, so I can turn them on and off even when I am away from home. Very easy to connect to WIFI. I control them with the BNLINK app. which I find to be very easy to use. I am surely going to buy more same smart plugs for use in other parts of our home.

Good product, it is slightly difficult to get it set up via WIFI, due to the poorly written instruction steps. However, there is a polite customer service team to assist you with the installation. Great buy, I highly recommend it

I use this outdoors on my smoker. I wait for the full shutdown on the smoker then tell Alexa to turn off the smoker.

This was so easy. We have Smart WIFI indoor outlets from BN-Link, and use those all the times. Glad my daughter suggested one for our outdoor Christmas lights. We usually are home to turn them on and off. However, on the occassion when we are arriving at our home and it has turned dark - we like to see our Christmas lights all lit up over the house. Why should the neighbors be the only ones to enjoy the lights? I already had the app installed on my phone to control the indoor outlets, so this particular outlet was easy to add. I just set a daily schedule to turn on around 4:45-5:15 (depending on the month) and then to go off at certain times during the week and a little later time on weekends since that is when we are typically out and about.

Although each outlet can be controlled individually by the Smart Life App, if you want to turn on ONE device, but not the other, manually, with out using the app, you cant. The power button top of the device powers both off...or on. So, if you have one device turned off, and one one, and you hit the power button on the outside of the device, you will be controlling both. I have a couple of other WIFI outlets like this and it is INCONVENIENT. I suggest you look for the devices that have two external power buttons. I forgot about this limitation, bought this one...but it is going back. Sorry BN-Link!
