I use this as a warming agent for my snake.

Bought these to use in a snake enclosure. Glass tank, specifically. They do a great job at keeping the temps where they should be. In a ball python enclosure, the hot side is set to 90. I use these with a dimmer. WITH the dimmer, I can get the hot side to the 90 I want. If I use full power with these, the tank has hit about 96 deg F. You definitely need a thermostat with this, or you might end up cooking whatevers in the tank. The unit feels solid, and for now it SEEMS like it will last a long time. Only time will tell. If something changes, I will update the review.

One of the bulbs did not work when received. It clinked inside, like a blown bulb.. it was packed well but probably still damaged by the shipper. The seller immediately replaced both bulbs, seven though I was expecting only one since one of them worked great. Now I have a spare. My heating pad and the one bulb I used until the others arrived kept my newborn puppies warm. Thank you very much..

The face is smaller than I expected but it gets hot at about 650 degrees for the 100 watt. Yes, ceramic emitters get that hot. I decided to check after it turned a pot holder that I set it on, started to brown. For the money, these are a great value. Considering I payed $40 for one at the pet store. The face was about 4 across compared to these at only 3+. Ive only been running it for about 3 days so I cant speak to the durability. But these generally last a long time.

After shipping got extended an extra week the che arrived and it came broken. Only giving a few start since I wasn’t able to use the product.
