> 3 dayI suspect this is E-glass. An earlier poster suggested that it was less than 3 ounces/yard^2. Clearly they dont know how to calculate. The product is 4.8 ounces for 8 square feet which is 5.4 ounces/yard^2, so I would call this 6 ounce cloth.

Greater than one weekMy 86 4Runner has a LOT of rust that Ive been slowly addressing. When filling a large hole in a body panel this fiberglass cloth works perfectly. Its a nice thick weave that holds up well to resin and draping over large gaps. I like to cut it into 2 inch strips to work with. First I brush the inside of the hole with 2 part resin and stuff a bit of the fiberglass cloth into the hole, pressing it into the back of the opening to engage with the resin Ive brushed there. Then I brush a strip of fiberglass cloth at a time with resin and press it over the opening and into the existing fiberglass cloth making sure it is adhering to the area on the body around the hole. I build up layer after layer criss crossing until I have several woven layers adding resin directly to the cloth if necessary to join them together or join them to the body panel. Dont worry about adding to much, you can always sand it back after its hardened. Then go over with bondo to make a smooth surface ready for primer.
