> 3 daySimple enough. I was unable to secure the platform at the inner corner because the holes that are pre drilled in do not fit the .5inch spacing on my cage. Regardless, it still seems pretty sturdy for my small bird to use.

> 3 dayWe have 3 cockatiels who love to stand on these. They also love to chew them up, so they will last about 6 mos. or so, but if it keeps them happy, then I am happy. They clean fairly easy and they are sturdy. I like that they are just natural soft wood with no finish applied so we do not worry about the birds ingesting something unhealthy. Good product, will continue to buy them. I believe the smell is the natural wood smell. If you have ever been to Home Depot in the lumber dept., It has a similar smell. The birds do not eat the wood they chew off, it just drops to the bottom of the cage. I have ordered these 5 or 6 times, so I know they are safe.

> 3 dayMy birds absolutely love these. I put it high in the cage and they use it as their comfy spot to relax and sleep. Very sturdy. It does collect a lot of poop however, so you might need a scraper as well to keep it clean

> 3 dayCons: • Not easy to clean - the wood is too porous. • Wood is not sanded - sharp pieces are bad for your pets to consume/ingest. Pros: • It’s sturdy when set up. * gentle reminder to fancy rat owners, pine wood (like this platform is made of) and other “soft woods” are toxic to rats because they contain phenols - compounds that are acidic, poisonous, and caustic. Inhaling or ingesting phenol oils in cedar and pine will irritate your pet rats nasal passages, throats and lungs, and can lower immune resistance and cause permanent damage to their respiratory systems and kidneys.
