Ive always heard that if you take Lysine every day it can help stop cold sores before they start, so Id been wanting to try it. I get them occasionally. My aunt takes it every day and says she doesnt get them any more. But I couldnt bring myself to do it, because every brand I tried the pills were HUGE and pretty angular, and I nearly choked every time Id try to swallow them. So it was a choice between feeling like I was risking my life and just putting up with cold sores. THESE I can take! Ive tried a few of the different Lysine brands from Amazon and I like this one the best. Its more expensive than the other ones, but its the smallest lysine pill Ive found. Seems to work fine.

I have been taking lysine for a long time. I take a daily dose, but if my system feels out of balance, and gets a little acidic, I amp up the dosage. If I feel the start of a fever blister, I amp up the dosage. I am a vegetarian, and I appreciate that this product has vegetarian capsules. This is a good product, and I plan to continue using it. I used to take 1000 mg tablets of lysine, but they are huge, so I prefer the easier to swallow capsules and being able to modify the dosage more easily.

Finally, a calcium pill I can swallow! Just a few days ago, one of my OLD calcium tablets stuck in my throat so completely that I began to pass out. I was afraid for my life and ended up on the floor. I threw those tablets in my compost barrel and searched for something BETTER. They are here today. Not only are they SOFT they are also smaller with just as much calcium as the old horse pills had.

I need L-lysine for when I feel a fever blister start coming on. Before this product I could not find it in a small enough size to swallow. Finally, now I can take L-lysine without fear of choking. I assume it will work like any other L-lysine Ive taken - Im always amazed that an amino acid can stave off a fever blister! I only take it when I feel a fever blister starting and will take about 3 capsules twice a day. It seems to work.

Bought these to replace the huge caplet I have used in the past and the are much easier to swallow. I just to have fever blisters and cold sores at least twice a year until I started taking L-Lsyine daily. Taking these daily has completely kept all of these from reoccurring for the past three years and I am loving it. I recommend these to any other one I have taken.
