> 3 dayI needed to fit 3 kids in the back of a 2000 Honda Civic. Two of these fit perfectly in the back seat with a front facing car seat. It did exactly what I needed. Additionally it came with a small bag to store it when I was not using it. I was originally concerned about these losing air, but we have been using it for a month now and I havent had to re-inflate it once. My son loves it because it is much more comfortable than a regular booster seat. I would like to speak toward the two comments that almost made me not purchase this: 1. ...it was such a hassle to use each time we got in the car....keeping my son situated on it correctly and feeding the seatbelt through the red guides each time we got in and out of the car was some sort of torture session for me.... Response: I have not had any issues. I have found it takes no longer than a regular booster seat. I often keep the one red clip attached all the time. In fact, my 4-year-old son is able to put buckle himself without any issues. 2. The valve itself is strange. It does not take much to inflate the seat by mouth, but tightening the valve while not letting the air escape can be tricky. Response: I agree the valve is tricky, but i think it is a brilliant design. The valve lid screws on so that it cannot be forced open from the force of a child bouncing on the seat. This definitely makes the product more safe, but can be tricky to close it without losing air. The trick to it is to inflate it most of the way, then partially screw on the valve, then inflate fully and plug the hole with your tongue while you screw the valve the rest of the way closed. I was able to get a full inflate with ease using this strategy.

> 3 dayIf you’re traveling with kids who use booster seats this is the best purchase ever. Instead of lugging around their big bulky seats you can easily put these in your luggages or carry on. They’re easy to inflate. Definitely worth the money if you travel a lot with your family.

> 3 dayWe needed something for our 6 yr old for a 5 day vacation. After looking around at a few products, some very similar, I decided on BubbleBum. It worked out perfect. Its compact, fitting easily into luggage or a backpack. It installs/uninstalls very easy, with no hassle. The only issues I had, its skinny, her butt just fit onto it. My biggest issue though, the location of the mouth piece to blow it up, which sits right in the crack of the seat. Its elevated just enough to not be touching it all the time, but it does touch a very dirty part of any cab/Uber, etc, just because people sit there. I had to buy alcohol wipes to sanitize between rides. I think these should be included, just because travel does sometimes mean taxis and such. Other than that, we loved this thing. Now, I do see some reviews complaining about being uncomfortable, or whatnot with long trips and such, but the thing is, that is not what this is meant for. Its for quick, in and out uses when you have no choice and cant bring a real car seat or booster. If youre long term car traveling, just bring an actual booster.... With that said, for what this is made for, and how it is meant to be used, it works, and it works well.

Greater than one weekThis seat has worked so well for my family for travel. It packs down small and inflates quickly. Plus the company has excellent customer service which makes me even happier with the product!

> 3 dayAssuming your child is of an appropriate height and weight to use this booster, it’s a really hard option to beat for travel! Being able to transport this in the small carry bag included is really convenient and being able to unpack it and set it up in any vehicle nearly instantly is wonderful. We don’t travel all that often, but if we’re flying somewhere and dealing with a rental car on the other end, this just makes life much easier than dealing with a traditional booster seat.

> 3 dayJust got back from a 4-day trip using the BubbleBum booster seats. We bought two for our 4 year old twin girls (weighing approximately 43 lbs each). We tried the booster seats out in our car first, to make sure they were comfortable. We packed them in our checked luggage and got them out at the rental car facility. Easy installation in a minivan. The girls were not able to thread the seat belt through the red clips, so we had to help them each time. They could also easily push the seat belt release, so we had to explain to them that was not safe and didn’t have any problems while riding in the car. We also had to explain that the shoulder strap needed to be across their chest for safety. (They are use to sitting in a Britax Marathon, which they can buckle-up themselves, with 5-point harness). Overall, we are very pleased with the product. Our car trips were typically 15 minutes to 1 hour long and the girls didn’t complain about being uncomfortable. They actually fell asleep a few times. We’re glad we didn’t have to pay the $10 per day, per car seat to the rental company, and we look forward to using these boosters to give friends a lift or for use in friend’s/ relative’s cars. We will continue to use our Britax Marathon convertible car seats until they reach the weight/height limits though.

> 3 dayMy 6 year old said it was comfortable enough. Super easy to inflate, barely took any air. At first we thought it wasn’t inflated fully, but it’s just a little squishy. It was great paying $30 for a booster that fit in our luggage instead of having to pay $50+ to rent one from Turo. I would suggest putting a towel or a piece of grippy fabric under it as it can slide on some leather seats.

06-06-2025Needed as front-facing for my 2-year-old which took up more space and had two more car seats fri the 5 and 7 year olds. To gain the extra space I needed, I got the BubbleBum inflatable seat for the 7-year-old. Love it! I got the extra space and my girl is happy! Very easy to use.

> 3 dayUPDATE: Received my replacement seat from Amazon - its the exact same (old) manufacture date (as you can see from the picture of them both together). The only thing Amazon customer service could tell me is that they must not sell many of these, so all their stock is probably dated. Im frustrated with the amazon experience - at the end of the day they say they cant sell a valid product, and theres nothing they will do about it. Bubble bum suggested they could help me, so I reached out to them, but they havent yet replied to my email. So I still have no car seat! So I love this car seat - my problem is with the dated stock Amazon is selling. I owned one of these a couple of years ago, for my daughter. She loved it, it was all good. But my son didnt like the color (which is fair enough, it was very pink and hes 8). My son is now essentially out of a booster seat, but hes not quite the right height to ride without one. We were in a bad car accident once, and it only takes the ones to realize how important car seats and booster are. So yes, I am purchasing this for my 8.5 yr old! We first purchased one in November, for an international trip we were taking. It worked wonderfully - so simple and light to pack, great for moving in and out of various rental cars. However, while moving it around I glanced at the back - and realized it was already 1.5 years old/past manufacturing date. As most people who use them know, car seats have expiry dates (this is 4 years). So Id already lost over 25% of the use of the seat. I returned it, Amazon refunded my money. Were about to take another trip, and besides, my son really likes this car seat. He especially likes that its discrete. I like that I can easily move it to fit another (older) kid in the car. I was disappointed to discover that the one I received yesterday was almost a year old - thats going right back! I called Amazon and explained the situation. Theyre going to send me another (3rd times a charm?). But the lady on the phone explained that although the seats are sold by Amazon directly, theres nothing she can do to ensure theyre new stock. So Im going to give it one more go, and Ill update in a couple of days. But I suggest buying from a store where you can see the expiration date and check youre not getting old stock.
