You know those pool toys you’re racing against your breath because it starts to deflate immediately once your breath decreases? This is the same. But, I needed a super narrow seat in between two bulky convertible seats. It did the job. We had to buckle first, then shove the seat under, but we squished and survived. For travel, perfect.

So easy to use for when friends or family are picking up my kids and for rental cars when we travel.

Ive had several of these boosters and cannot say enough good things about the customer service of this company! I bought my first bubble bum from amazon. Due to (minor) crashes I have needed to replace it twice and both times bubble bum helped me get either a new inflatable bladder or a new seat (depending on their recommendation) right away. They even offered me a replacement booster for the cost of shipping. Thanks to Fintan (and the rest of the bubble bum team) my new bubble bum is ready for a rider. It has positioned the seat belt great on both children I have tried it with and is easy to infate and deflate. I find shoulder belt adjusters on backless boosters generally annoying but the one of the bubble bum works pretty well. The kids love riding in this booster and actually asked to use it for a several hour trip to the beach rather than their regular boosters.

We bought these for a weekend trip to NYC for our two kids - ages 5 and 7. We used them in taxi cabs and Ubers so that we didn’t need to bring our car around the city. They inflated fast and were light and small when deflated. They rolled up to fit in a bag. They took less than 15 seconds to inflate so it was fast to hail a cab and get them into a car. They were comfortable and the kids liked them. Would highly recommend for travel!

These are great for Airplane Travel. We have three in boosters (7, 9, 10) and didnt want to check three seats for the rental car. These fit in carry-on luggage and were super easy to inflate when we landed. Stayed inflated for an entire week and deflated/rolled up in less than a minute when we arrived back at the airport. Definitely use the guide buckles, especially for smaller/skinnier kids, to make sure the seatbelt is positioned correctly. Note: for younger/smaller kids who still use high backs, this might not be enough support. It is smaller than a typical booster and doesnt have sides.

We used this for quick Uber rides on vacation and it was amazing! Easy to set up and comfortable (from what I’ve heard) It is small enough to pack in a carry on bag as well and the stretch bag for packing is also a plus!

As a parent of three kids (5, 3 and 18 months) Im faced with the oh-too-familiar problem of finding a way to fit three child car seats in the back of my vehicle. I have a mid-sized SUV with one row of back seats and - with my 5-year-old about to graduate into a booster - I knew fitting three seats side-by-side would be an issue. I was initially skeptical about the BubbleBum because it seems such a small, inconsequential and inadequate proposition. But Im pleasantly surprised to report that my expectations were completely unfounded. First off the size and portability is unbeatable. I was concerned that it would be too awkward to function as a booster seat for long-journeys, but my five-year-old is completely comfortable sitting on it. It sits - with ample room to spare - between two other childs car seats and there is plenty of space. Buckling in and out is easy. Just guide the regular lap-belt portion of your cars standard seatbelts through the two red guide clips, and youre done. This literally takes seconds to do and is far less complicated than I feared from reading some of the descriptions online. Set-up was also super-easy. Just blow-it up like a balloon, insert the air-stopping valve and youre done. The added bonus is that the BubbleBum also serves as a portable option - so if your child is traveling in a different car.....or if you need something for a taxi or a rental car.....its extremely portable.

My 6 year old said it was comfortable enough. Super easy to inflate, barely took any air. At first we thought it wasn’t inflated fully, but it’s just a little squishy. It was great paying $30 for a booster that fit in our luggage instead of having to pay $50+ to rent one from Turo. I would suggest putting a towel or a piece of grippy fabric under it as it can slide on some leather seats.

I have two Bubble Bums and while I have a couple of qualms with it, it is still deserving of 5 stars. I travel a lot with my daughter and we use Uber a lot. The Bubble Bum, when deflated, fits in a larger handbag. We pull it out, inflate in a few seconds, jump in our Uber, buckle up, done. I recommend this seat to so many people. Here are my problems with the seat: It needs a better system for rolling up and securing with the belt strap. We’ve made it work, but this is a design flaw. After rolling up a bunch of times (probably 60+), the seat wouldn’t inflate all the way and didn’t feel as secure as it was lumpy (from the rolling). The side buckles for the seatbelt take a couple of moments to get onto the seatbelt and, while my 10-yr old can do it, my 6-yr old cannot, so plan to help the kids into the seat. Finally, I find the belt-positioning strap has to be reset every single installation (which is a lot when using 5-6 Uber’s/day). Because we also use the strap to keep the seat rolled up, it is off from th shoulder height ‘setting’ for our kid. This isn’t a flaw, just annoying. I wish there were a button, hook and loop closure, or eleastic band to keep it rolled. The bag it comes with is great for traveling. When not traveling, we keep a Bubble Bum in our car for school pick-up when friends tag along.

We needed something for our 6 yr old for a 5 day vacation. After looking around at a few products, some very similar, I decided on BubbleBum. It worked out perfect. Its compact, fitting easily into luggage or a backpack. It installs/uninstalls very easy, with no hassle. The only issues I had, its skinny, her butt just fit onto it. My biggest issue though, the location of the mouth piece to blow it up, which sits right in the crack of the seat. Its elevated just enough to not be touching it all the time, but it does touch a very dirty part of any cab/Uber, etc, just because people sit there. I had to buy alcohol wipes to sanitize between rides. I think these should be included, just because travel does sometimes mean taxis and such. Other than that, we loved this thing. Now, I do see some reviews complaining about being uncomfortable, or whatnot with long trips and such, but the thing is, that is not what this is meant for. Its for quick, in and out uses when you have no choice and cant bring a real car seat or booster. If youre long term car traveling, just bring an actual booster.... With that said, for what this is made for, and how it is meant to be used, it works, and it works well.
