13-04-2025It was very easy to transport and then to inflate and literally use. Not only that it took up way less space then our other car seat booster especially in smaller backseats and very comfortable according to my little one who had to sit on it.

> 3 dayI was against this purchase for my kids. I said it would be too wobbly. Needless to say my wife ordered and kids (also girls) love the thing. It fits the bill as fitting between two carseats in the back. I still say its not safe because the kid in the middle gets their head smashed by the outside of the carseat in an accident. But if you have a lot of kids, you can spare a few right? Just kidding moms! There are times when you need this kind of seat and it works because it raises the kid off the seat bottom so the seat belt fits. It would be best of course to leave them in the carseat with a 5pt. harness and padded sides (britax of course) as long as you can. This would also be a good travel seat because you can deflate it. Which reminds me, if you bring this thing on an airplane, a trip up the mountains, or in a hot car hear in the south, be sure to check to see that this thing is not going to pop. I dont have any experience with this particular seat popping but I do know that the fixed volume could be a problem. One suggestion is to have it filled with nitrogen at your local tire shop or car dealer (they love to sell the stuff at an incredible mark-up) but it really would help in the heat expansion problem because of the lack of moisture. As soon as mine pops, I will update this review and tell my wife I told you so.

> 3 dayYou know those pool toys you’re racing against your breath because it starts to deflate immediately once your breath decreases? This is the same. But, I needed a super narrow seat in between two bulky convertible seats. It did the job. We had to buckle first, then shove the seat under, but we squished and survived. For travel, perfect.

> 3 dayThese are great for Airplane Travel. We have three in boosters (7, 9, 10) and didnt want to check three seats for the rental car. These fit in carry-on luggage and were super easy to inflate when we landed. Stayed inflated for an entire week and deflated/rolled up in less than a minute when we arrived back at the airport. Definitely use the guide buckles, especially for smaller/skinnier kids, to make sure the seatbelt is positioned correctly. Note: for younger/smaller kids who still use high backs, this might not be enough support. It is smaller than a typical booster and doesnt have sides.

Greater than one weekThis is an awesome addition to our travel gear. We were agonizing how we would travel safely with two little kids; we anticipate to regularly be taking taxi cabs without having a reasonable option of lugging two car seats around with us. While a full car seat is obviously preferable, the Bubble Bum is the next best thing. And it collapses small enough that I can fit two of them into a backpack with still some space to spare. N.b. even when collapsed, it isnt exactly tiny. This is thanks to the use of nicer and thicker materials; so, I cant really complain. But I am just glad I was already planning on taking a backpack with me. I wouldnt want to hold the booster in my hand for a lengthy amount of time while sightseeing about town. Even with the nice included bag, doing so would get old pretty soon. One positive surprise was my discovery that the Bubble Bum comes with an included (rudimentary) seat belt adjuster. Depending on the type of car and the size of the kid, this feature can come in quite handy. For some reason, I hadnt noticed that it was included, when I ordered the booster, and I therefore also got a BRICA seat belt adjuster. For the larger kid, I probably wont be needing the BRICA. But for the smaller kid, the BRICA adjuster provides extra comfort and ensures that the seat belt runs in the right place. The Bubble Bums seat belt adjuster sits on top of the shoulder, whereas the BRICA adjuster clips to the belt in front of the child. The two products can be combined, if so desired. Overall, the Bubble Bum is easy and fast to inflate and pretty straight-forward to install. It still takes a moment to get settled in, and I hope we wont run into too many impatient cab drivers. But even with two kids I dont expect I will need more than about a minute to get both of them buckled in -- assuming the cab even has proper seat belts on the back seats. A lap belt isnt compatible with this (or pretty much any other) booster. And unfortunately, where we are going, seat belts on back seats arent necessarily a standard feature.

Greater than one weekJust got back from a 4-day trip using the BubbleBum booster seats. We bought two for our 4 year old twin girls (weighing approximately 43 lbs each). We tried the booster seats out in our car first, to make sure they were comfortable. We packed them in our checked luggage and got them out at the rental car facility. Easy installation in a minivan. The girls were not able to thread the seat belt through the red clips, so we had to help them each time. They could also easily push the seat belt release, so we had to explain to them that was not safe and didn’t have any problems while riding in the car. We also had to explain that the shoulder strap needed to be across their chest for safety. (They are use to sitting in a Britax Marathon, which they can buckle-up themselves, with 5-point harness). Overall, we are very pleased with the product. Our car trips were typically 15 minutes to 1 hour long and the girls didn’t complain about being uncomfortable. They actually fell asleep a few times. We’re glad we didn’t have to pay the $10 per day, per car seat to the rental company, and we look forward to using these boosters to give friends a lift or for use in friend’s/ relative’s cars. We will continue to use our Britax Marathon convertible car seats until they reach the weight/height limits though.

Greater than one weekWe used this for quick Uber rides on vacation and it was amazing! Easy to set up and comfortable (from what I’ve heard) It is small enough to pack in a carry on bag as well and the stretch bag for packing is also a plus!
