I bought 2 of these for traveling with my 7 & 5 year olds, based on a rave review from a friend (& on Amazon). I was not super impressed, and here’s why: 1. Pretty difficult to inflate. The caps are SO hard to get back on after you’ve blown them up, that by the time we succeeded in tightening them, most of the air had leaked out. I had to blow up each of these about 5-7 times just to get them to stay firm. 2. Much larger than I had hoped. These are not the kind of thing that you can easily throw in your purse or “personal item” on a plane. They are big! As I mentioned, I had to carry 2 of them so that was a double-whammy. 3. My 5 y/o could not independently buckle himself with this booster. This was frustrating & time consuming over our week-long vacation. Overall, the product is ok and we will be keeping them because we have already used them. I’m happy that it saved me money on renting booster seats, but we were left fumbling with these in the car rental line at the airport and it wasted a lot of time (I have 3 kids so I’m looking for convenience!). The kids did say they were comfy though. I’m not sure if there is a better option out there, but it’s worth investigating before investing in these.

I was against this purchase for my kids. I said it would be too wobbly. Needless to say my wife ordered and kids (also girls) love the thing. It fits the bill as fitting between two carseats in the back. I still say its not safe because the kid in the middle gets their head smashed by the outside of the carseat in an accident. But if you have a lot of kids, you can spare a few right? Just kidding moms! There are times when you need this kind of seat and it works because it raises the kid off the seat bottom so the seat belt fits. It would be best of course to leave them in the carseat with a 5pt. harness and padded sides (britax of course) as long as you can. This would also be a good travel seat because you can deflate it. Which reminds me, if you bring this thing on an airplane, a trip up the mountains, or in a hot car hear in the south, be sure to check to see that this thing is not going to pop. I dont have any experience with this particular seat popping but I do know that the fixed volume could be a problem. One suggestion is to have it filled with nitrogen at your local tire shop or car dealer (they love to sell the stuff at an incredible mark-up) but it really would help in the heat expansion problem because of the lack of moisture. As soon as mine pops, I will update this review and tell my wife I told you so.

While the concept is lovely for travel, the seat didn’t stay in place. It slid out from underneath my kids butts and proved useless on the first ride in our rental car. We drove straight to a big box store and bought replacement seats with a base that doesn’t slide. Even with the strap in the clips on the sides and the back strap for the shoulder strap, it just gets tangled once the kids started to slide. Just as a note for future buyers: This might be my own poor understanding of the product description and photos, but I had thought the inflatable portion was optional and there was still some structure to the seat. I would have not purchased the seat had I known it doesn’t have any structure aside from the air you put in it.

I purchased this seat to travel with after a plane trip. It was light weight and easy to pack. The seat is soft, but it slid a little bit when my 5 yo grand daughter climbed onto the seat, making the seat belt buckling challenging. The seat slid over the buckle attachment every time she climbed in, so I ended up pulling her to the side to access the buckle. We put her in the center of the back seat of a Subaru Forester. The seat feels comfortable enough to carry into restaurants to use as chair booster.

Purchased this nifty booster seat to use between two big boy Britax Frontier Car seats. My backseat is not wide enough to accommodate a standard high back or back less booster seat between too car seats. I have been looking for a skinny booster to increase my kiddo car seat arrangement for play dates and came across this model. It is being used my my 5 year old or one of his friends when I bring other kids home for play dates. It works a treat. It positions my son correctly for the seat belt to sit where it should and with the side clip you know that lap belt part is in the right place. Too high and their internal organs can get damaged if the belt tightens and they are thrown forward :( On occasion another child will use this seat and my son sits in front with me in a high backed booster. I feel the other child using the booster is nice & safe. I have had no issues with my kiddos sliding off the sides of this seat when going around corners but then it is wedged between to car seats so there really is no where for them to go. I would agree that the seat is a bit short and could be uncomfortable on long journeys if it cuts into the back of the childs legs. This is the reason I have given it 4 stars over 5. Perhaps the company might read the reviews and feedback for this booster and make some adjustment to increase its length. For me it suits its purpose wonderful and very pleased to have found it.

Works well. Holds the kid snugly on the car seat. Inflation and deflation is literally a breeze. Deflating it takes as much time as it takes to pay the cabby. Does its job as advertised. The only negative is that it does not provide any side support for a sleeping child. Though the seat belt will hold him in place. Had to buy the Diono Seatbelt pillow on Amazon to go with it. The pillow did help but still not the same as the conventional car seat with side wings that a kid could rest his head on. However, this seat is unbeatable as a travel seat. Very neatly rolls up into a compact cylinder - the size of a large water bottle yet much lighter. Easy to stuff into a backpack and take it on travels. Doubles as a pillow to make the economy class seat more comfortable. It isnt very wide when deployed. So 3 kids, or 1 kid and 2 adults can sit in a compact car back. The adults cant even tell that they are sharing the bench seat with a car seat. Bottom line: The very best travel booster seat, however dont throw away your regular booster seat though. Your child will be more comfortable in the regular booster seat. Take advantage of the best of both worlds - at home on your regular booster seat and while travelling in the Bubble Bum inflatable booster seat. In summary a must have if you travel often with children.

We really like our booster seat, but it is a bit big to travel with. In fact, every time we went to the airport, they made us try and stuff it through the x-ray machine. We would tell the TSA person that the last time or last two times, it got stuck, but they were persistent. And of course, it got stuck again. We decided that we needed an alternative for travel. After research, there are two decent options: the Trunki/Boostapak, which also functions as a backpack and is made of hard plastic, and the inflatable BubbleBum. Both are considered safe and include an adjustable belt positioning strap. The BubbleBum, however, is more practical for long car rides compared to the Trunki since the BubbleBum is naturally more comfortable (inflatable cushion vs. hard plastic). So, if you plan to fly and then travel in a car for a bit, this is your only option. Which is fine because this product is awesome. In fact, we purchased another one for the other car just because it is so convenient. If your child has a play date but needs to bring a car seat, or if you find that you have to suddenly transport one of your childs friends in your car, you are ready. If you need a third booster in between two larger car seats, this one will work. It is easy to use, my child--who can sometimes struggle with securing a seat belt--has no difficulties putting this one on. Additionally, it literally takes about 15 seconds to take it out of the bag, inflate it, and secure the positioning strap on the seat belt. If there is one con, it is just that you will have to check to make sure your child put the safety belt through BOTH red loops (pictured) on each side. Since I generally install the seat first, securing the positioning strap on the safety belt, I slip the safety belt into the red loop so that my child will just have to worry about positioning the strap and then buckling in on the other side, and slipping the safety belt into the other red loop. Thanks to all the other reviewers for writing such detailed reviews as it convinced me to purchase the first one. Hopefully, you likewise found this review helpful.

A real live saver true and true - hopefully its never officially put to THE test. Being a first time Corvette Stingray owner I had no idea that finding a booster seat that not only fit the seat but was safe would be so difficult. After about 10 trips using it I can say its great, I do need to help my 7 year old son get strapped in properly but IMO thats to be expected. The fit and finish appear to be excellent, I havent noticed any damage done to my seat although I plan to put something underneath just to be safe - likely the nonslip material used to line shelves and drawers. One minor frustration with it (in the grand scheme VERY minor) is the difficulty in blowing it up - the air is quick to escape as you tighten the nozzle - I had to keep blowing as I twisted the locking cap. I only drive the car on nice days and I only have my son 50% of the time so I could see it being a bigger issue if I had to deflate/refill it often as some will find the portability of this to be the real reason to buy as its VERY portable and comes with a very nice carrying bag. ***I do not get compensated for my wonderful reviews***
