I was working on a friends car that was in pretty rough shape with bird droppings and overall paint contamination. I thought I would try these pads so I wasnt investing $12 to $15 per pad on a car that I dont own. I used these with my Porter Cable random orbital polisher and a 6.5 backing plate. Since I was a bit concerned how these pads would hold up I ran the polisher slightly slower than I would with the regular pads I use. I started with a fairly aggressive Chemical Guys cutting polish and the yellow pad, then a less aggressive cutting polish with the white pad, and finished with a mild polish and the blue pad. After polishing I applied the wax by hand. Overall, I was very pleased with the results I achieved and my friend was amazed. I had no issues with the pads tearing, or melting through the velcro back. I really didnt see any issues with heat build up in any of the pads. I am now comfortable I can use these pads on my own vehicles so I will definitely be making this purchase again.

Great product, reasonable price.

First of all, I dont have loads of experience polishing cars. I was using the wool pads that came with my Makita rotary polisher, but didnt care for the poof factor of the hairy wool - I felt like I wanted more control in tight areas to really see where the pad was meeting the paint. I also didnt want to spend a ton of money on pads because I wont be doing this frequently at all. Suffice it to say, using these foam pads has been an absolute joy! They worked waaaay better than Id hoped, and they didnt shred themselves apart like I feared. Theyre nice & squishy and easy to clean, theyve stayed soft, and even after hours of use Im not really seeing much wear in the little cube slice pattern on them. Outstanding!

I was able to get 1 car finished. A few weeks later I was buffing a C10 truck, the green pad started to rip apart and disintegrate. I have used other pads from Chemical Guys and they have lasted years. I would not buy these again.

I detail professionally and use these a lot. They work well and hold up quite well. Highly recommend these. I find that some of the pricey ones dont even hold up half as long.

Our 2011 Toyota Sienna had some ugly paint on it. Years ago, my wife used Baking Powder to clean some black tar like tree sap that had fallen on it. The color was white, so the black spots were extremely noticeable. Nothing I could buy in terms of wax or cleaners would work. We were always left with a bull white finish with no mirror like exterior. I came across a YouTube video about power buffers/polishers and thought I would experiment with one from Harbor Freight. I quickly bought other items to help such as the Meguiars 105 and 205 Cut Compound and Polish. I bought these pads to use on the electric polisher. These were 7-inch pads, and I should have bought 6 inch, but I used them anyway. The results? It was like a magic trick. The old worn-out finish on our Toyota was erased and a mirror like finish emerged. I finished it off with Turtle Wax Hybrid Cermaic wax and our car looks almost brand new. I really am proud of the effort and these pads were a part of the process.

These pads worked fine when I used them to remove light scratches from my paint. The cut of the different color pads is not marked on the top of each pad however, so make a note of them before you throw the box out. Other than that, no gripes.

Used these with a Meguiar’s buffing compound and a Bosch orbital sander to buff out some scratches on a newer car and also to buff an older truck. Pads stuck to the sander very well and were easy to clean with a water hose. Used the orange and yellow pads for the scratches and they worked better than expected and then used the black pad to finish. Before and after pictures attached.
