This compressor is as quiet as they say it is. Works great. Easy to use.

Quality feels incredible, and is a lot quieter then I was expecting. After turning it on in my living room with the rest of the family opening presents for Christmas, we were all floored how low the noise level was. I hope to edit this review with longevity details as I start using it. ******* update ******** I’ve had my California Air Tool compressor for 3/4 of a year now. My 2020 spring and summer (quarantine) were full of projects. This compressor has been smooth running the whole time. Neighbors and family have all asked to borrow it because of how quiet it is. None of the projects were slowed because the compressor took to long to recharge. So far I’ve used micronpin nailers, Staplers, and 18g Brad nailers. I’m hoping to do my roof and shed next summer, and I’ll need to update again.

I have used air compressors in a commercial capacity for decades, now - all brands, all makes. California air compressor makes the best, by far! And, this one (4710SQ) only pulls 7.7 amps while cycling. I have a larger version and a smaller version, also pictured. I work in a lot of RV parks and I get no complaints, at all. FYI, the smaller version 1P1060S is a must for any one that has an RV, for sure

I recieved my compressor fairly damaged, Id imagine from the jammed shipping containers they arrive in from China. Do Not get me wrong, this thing is pretty sweet. No harm/no foul. I got in touch w/Cali Air via their websight thru amazon. They replied immediately. I ran my 4710 SQ thru its paces. Super quiet. Zero Leaks. Runs my tools nice, & cycles fast. I would def recommend this to a buddy.

Super quiet and comes up to pressure fast, no need to leave it on and under pressure. Used it for 16 ga. brad nailer and it worked great. I havent used it with the framing nailer yet but I feel there shouldnt be any problems, however because of the small storage tank it might not keep up with rapid bump nailing. I have a larger air compressor that was outside under cover but now that we moved its in the garage/shop and scares the crap out of me when it starts. So rather than moving it to the garden shed and running a airline 75 ft. to the garage I bought this little fellow and it saved me a bunch of work and I have no complaints as of this review. I can easily take the compressor into the house to nail molding without having to fill a air tank like I did with the larger compressor.

The quiet setting is as advertised - purrrrrrrrrrs. This is really great. I have a Portal Cable 1 gal comp and it was so freaking noisey!! It pumped out a meager .2 cfm. This 4.7 gal comp puts out 2 cfm at 90 psi x 10 times more.. For the size, this a good!

Well, they were right...it IS QUIET! It replaces a similar sized one, but it is about half the volume. Fills as quickly as the noisy one. So far, it is great!

This compressor is so quite you dont even know its running.

I was amazed at how quiet it was its just what I needed after using a small and extremely loud compressor that my family complained about how noisy it is , I work on many projects in my basement and just couldnt bare with anymore loud air compressors anymore I also boutique another quiet air compressor thats just as quiet , I can actually turn both of them on whole theyre asleep when Im working late on my projects , Im happy and content with this compressor and how both compressors came without any damages , definitely will recommend to friends and family members of the service and products that are delivered to me .

Its as quiet as they say, and as light as they say and, yes, the welding is as cheap and poorly done as they say. A reasonable choice if you just need an inexpensive compressor in your garage to inflate the occasional bike tire or blow out a gutter, but not meant for much beyond light, occasional use and not likely something youll be passing on to your kids. If you get a decade of use out of this, youll have gotten your moneys worth.
