> 24 hourAs a professional graphic artist with over 20 years in the industry, I have seen lots of products/suppliers come and go. Like Quark before it Epson decided to abandon its core user base of professional graphic arts customers for the promise of a windfall of profit by catering only to Win-Tel users. They now are a commodity player with an expensive, balky, cumbersome line of equipment. In steps Canon, god love em. Great Cameras, great printers, Mac support for days... Now this printer is my home unit and I could not be more pleased with its performance. Two main features attracted me: 1. The ink it uses is BC-24, available, been around for YEARS, and cheap! (about $17 for color and $8 for the color cart). 2. border-less printing on generic 4x6 glossy snaps from Office Depot (100 pieces for $12) that look great. This printer is fast, quiet, and works flawlessly with iPhoto as well as any of the typical Pro apps a Graphic Designer might use.

> 24 hourAbsolutely Positively the WORSE Printer I have ever owned. I have a feeling these other reviewers...no offense...havent owned and operated the printer long enough to make a valid appraisal. I have been using it (when it works) for 6 months and it sucks. I use it for trivial printing at this point...just to use up the ink ive invested in. After that....its in the trash. If anyone wants it...they can have it for the cost of shipping. Ill put it on amazons used sale list.

> 24 hourThis is a great printer at any price. The print quality is good and you can even print photos if you want. The ink cartridges are inexpensive, especially if you go with remanufactured, and overall, the printer is a great value. The only bad part is that the printer does not have an output tray, but dont let that stop you from buying this printer because it is truly a great value.

> 24 hourI replaced my Epson RX500 ($245.00) due to $$$ ink replacement and other issues, and I love this little printer! After almost five months of steady printing Im replacing the black ink tank for the first time (about $7). Its a little rough on the paper feed but cranks documents out quickly. Photo quality is average for the price of this unit. However, compared to the enormous costs of the Epson ink tanks, this Canon has already paid for itself. Ive printed out resumes, pictures, spreadsheets, and loads of emails on this machine. Well worth the price!

> 24 hourHave never used it. Tried to go through set up but it is designed for software that is no longer in common use. Will give it to a community thrift shop. Someone with older equipment may be able to use it.

> 24 hourThis printer worked wonderfully for the first 4 months, but then got the imaginary paper jam problem that I have seen on other reviews. When speaking with technical support, they basically said tough luck and we had to buy another printer. The cartridges are cheap and last a fairly long time -- it even had a Staples brand one that was compatible, only $7 for black & $12 for color.

> 24 hourI bought this printer because it was fast and inexpensive, and have been pleasantly surprised at its superior quality. Its extremely user-friendly with easy load and learn software, prints wondrously fast, and the quality is outstanding. The cartridges are inexpensive and readily available. The photo print quality is superior to many more expensive models. Highly recommend!

> 24 hourNice printer, works fairly quicker than my previous Canon. Only downside, as other have pointed out, is the lack of catch tray. My old ink worked just fine for this one also, didnt even need to buy a differnt type.
