Great for sketching in oils quickly.

In the past, I was using the Canson multimedia pads for everything, since I worked in acrylic, but recently I saw this in a store and had to try it. The paper is very thick, with a texture that looks just like canvas when painted on. It holds up well to acrylic, especially if you put down a layer of paint first before using watery colors or painting too heavily all in one spot. The paper straightens and flattens out well once it tries even if it warps slightly when wet if not taped down. I will caution that with the painters tape I used, the surface of the paper tore when I removed it. This wasnt a big deal, and Ill simply use a different painters tape or pin it down with other methods, but its something to keep in mind. Though this paper is very sturdy, its surface is delicate and prone to scraping, becoming overly wet, rubbing, or tape, and once it tears/wears off, that pretty canvas texture is gone in that area and the paper becomes much weaker because the underside that isnt treated is exposed. What I will be experimenting with is coating the surface with acrylic gesso before painting, which gets rid of the canvas texture but makes it a lot stronger and more rigid, which might be preferable for certain projects.

Seriously, how these all the good review came up? Once i started with 1/2 drop of water with acryl, it went bumpy, warp..definately for acryl paiting

Ok product. I dont have much to compare with as I have not used many different products of this nature.

I plan on using this paper for a variety of projects. I was pleased with the swiftness which which the order came as well as the quality of the paper. Im anxious to get started.

Excelente calidad! el papel es grueso por lo que se puede trabajar perfectamente con acrílicos y oleos, yo lo uso para oleo pastel y se difuminan perfectamente!
