Easy to practice acrylic painting on. Easy to cut the paper into smaller dimensions to paint smaller paintings on.

Love this product. I bought the 5.5x8.5” pad for quicker low pressure studies and experiments. Cheaper than what they were selling for at the art store near me and easy to whip out when I just want to paint. The surface took my oil paints well and I had no problems using it without priming! Will buy again in multiple sizes.

I use Canson for all my teaching projects.

Its very thick and sturdy. One side is slightly less rigged, deppending on how you like to paint. I put down gesso before painting and that makes things run smoother. I use acrylic, so I dont know how oils lay out. I tape the paper to a board, but ocassionally the paper warps a little of I use excessive water. I prefer this paper to canvas as it feels better, doesnt flex under the brush. More control. Cheaper too.
