First things first, this product has already done its job. My little granddaughter took a header and bonked her head on my fireplace. The cushion saved the day, she is fine. The product is easy to cut, looks nice, and provides peace of mind. My only complaint is, it could stick better than it does, I am considering buying a roll of double-back tape to keep it in place.

Love the feeling of security. There was enough left over to use on the front of a chair that had sharp edges.

Works great easy installation

Unfortunately this did not work for our stone hearth as it’s not a flat surface. Our 10 month old was able to rip it off right away.

We are in the process of renovating our home and our baby decided to start crawling earlier than we expected. This fireplace edge cover was a PERFECT choice for us. It’s soft and has great adhesive. I installed it a few months ago and it’s holding up really well! Spend the little bit extra money for this one, you won’t regret it.

We love it, fits perfectly and easy to cut (used a bread knife). We only use our gate when s fire is going.

This product was easy to install, and we no longer have to worry about injuries from the sharp brick fireplace edge.

Product was as stated

The black looks nice with our fireplace. The adhesive is already on it so its easy-to-use. The kids already bumped into it and it worked as designed.

As with most everyone else, I purchased this product to protect my toddler from cracking his head on our hearth. There were several other options available, but I ultimately chose this one for a few important reasons. - the foam is 3/4 thick, where as every other one is only 1/2 thick. - the center pieces are preformed into right angles, others are flat foam and you have to fold it over and hope the adhesive holds. The product came in today. Packaging was good and install was simple and easy. Adhesive was acceptable as this seems to be a very contended point, but our brick is painted which gives it an ideal surface to bond to. Your mileage will vary. The only issue I see is that the foam is actually a bit firmer than what Id think is ideal. I was expecting it to be like a foam stress ball, but its a much more dense foam. Pressing it into place to stick, the foam compresses by maybe half its thickness, and thats using my body weight. With a toddlers 3lbs head, I dont see this foam compressing much to absorb impact energy. Will definitely stop lacerations, but Id fully expect his head to bounce off like running into a plastic slide. Nonetheless, its well made, esthetically good looking, and Ill be happy its there instead of brick when he inevitably falls on it.
