Keeps his head warm and looks stylish. The label says to hand wash, accidentally got tossed in the washer and it came out the same way it looked. Still stretched and fit the same. This hat goes great with the jacket. We bought the Boys Active Taffeta Quilt Lined Jacket from Carhartt as well. This hat fits under the hood with some room.
