> 3 dayMy husband is radiologist who works from home. In order to transfer CT and MRI scans from the hospital network to his home workstation (6 monitors!!!) we need commercial-grade internet connectivity. With a recent hospital PACS system upgrade he needed a higher caliber ethernet cable. Although Cat 8 is way over-engineered and overkill it definitely works and is future-proofing his workstation.

> 3 dayThis Cat 8 Ethernet Cable is very heavy duty and well made. Its waterproof so it can be used on outside runs. It claims a rating of 40gbps 2000 MHz Speed and has internal shielding. The end plugs are well made and gold plated. The actual cable is round and came with nailing mounting clips. Because this is heavy duty shielded cable it isnt as flexible as standard cat 5/6. This would make a great cable to run between two close locations (i.e. main house and detached garage or outbuilding). Good stuff.

Greater than one weekWhether you need a ridiculously long Ethernet cable for permanent use or just something to keep handy for unusual situations when WiFi wont work (warehouse maintenance, anyone?) this cable is perfect. Good data quality, sturdy construction, and all the length youll need. Ive used it many times, and it has never failed me.

> 3 dayI am using this CAT 8 cable to run 1080p and 4k video and audio across rooms using an HDMI ethernet extender. I have extended the cable out to its full length and most video comes across wonderfully with full audio. There are some source issues with the extender boxes, but the Cat 8 cable holds no blame there. The shielding here is also an extra benefit if running this cable through walls were Romex cable may be co-existing.

> 3 dayFast speeds I dont have speeds fast enough to max this cable out but it is as fast as my other cables. It is rigid, solid and well built.

Greater than one weekThis cable works so well that I ended up buying more so I can rewire my whole house. Im getting max speeds and I see no drops in connection like I was experiencing with an old cable. Highly recommended for upgrading your network!

> 3 dayThere isnt much to review. It works great as an ethernet cord. I do love that it is long enough so that if I decide to move my desk it will follow without hesitation. My computer is right next to the ethernet connector so I left most of it tied up. I was advised by my trainer in class that the Cat 8 is very good and helps to protect your information, so I got this to upgrade from a Cat 6. Everything is running smoothly, no glitches or hesitations. I work from home so I need to make sure that I am up to date on what will help my system run smoothly and help with protecting what goes in or out.

> 3 dayThis was used to run a direct line from my router in the hallway under the carpet and into my office. So far after using for awhile not only are our speeds fast but a visual inspection of the cable under the carpet appears that it is holding up quite well. Its flexible enough too that its not a pain to work with. Id defintely recommend.

> 3 dayThis 50-foot ethernet cable is top-quality. While Ive got no test to prove its made off oxygen-free copper, I can say it does facilitate high-speed data transfer. Connected to a gigabit ethernet switch, uploads and downloads are fast, and precise- even at the 50-foot length of this cable! Construction quality is the real story, though. This cable is professional-quality, featuring a THICK PVC jacket, gold-plated shielding on the connectors, and plastic reinforcement boots where the cable meets the connectors. The cable is thick, but highly-compliant- for easy runs, and the connectors look and feel robust. As a nice touch, the cable came with a packet of 15 cable clips, with tacks. This is a very nice cable.

Greater than one weekThis is some seriously well made ethernet cable. If youre upgrading to a higher throughput cable, youve come to the right spot, as this is the highest speed cable spec you can at the moment -- Cat 8. I got this MEIPEK cable replace some ancient Cat 5 cable for my home setup as Im planning to upgrade my local LAN to 10 gigabits this year. I do not have that installed yet so I cannot test that level of throughput but can vouch for it handling gigabit just fine. I can also attest to the high build quality, so I feel like youre getting value for money with this brand. The pricing is competitive, so even if you do not have immediate plans for higher than gigabit, why would you go for a lower standard now? The only potential downside to this cable would be that it is the standard thick round form factor. Depending on where you plan to install the cable, one of the flat style cables might work better. Im not reducing my rating of 5 stars for that since it is a known feature, and doesnt matter for my installation. There are plenty of competitors in this market, so I cant say that it is better than all the rest, but I can say that I doubt any are better.
