just installed motion lights on the side and back of the house. Wife calls and says the side porch light doesnt work. The switch was off. Ordered these, put them on in a minute, work great. I knocked out the side plastic things in case we ever want to turn off the motion lights. Smooth edges, almost invisible, easy install. Good product.

These are great. I just hate how much they cost and how hard they are to find. I cannot believe I could not find anyone local to sell these or anyone selling them with Prime shipping. I have lights that run on a program and if the switch gets flipped it wipes out the program so this was the perfect solution (since I do actually want to change the program a couple times a year.)

Keeps little hands off switches they shouldnt touch

I am working on automating my house with various items so I used these for the switches where I have z-wave bulbs. This puts a cover over the switch so that no one accidently switches it off so that the motion detector can switch the z-wave bulbs on! I have noticed that on 3 way or 4 way switches, these covers touch the toggle switch which make it hard to reach behind it to flip the switch. You have to loosen the cover a bit to have everything fit properly. I didnt have any issues with the 2 way switches. The toggles must be a little longer on the 3 and 4-way switches. These covers work good and get the job done.

Love the clear color and that you can get to the switch with a pen or something similar if you need to do a shut off.

I had a few light and fan switches I need to keep off/on. One case is the porch light which is automatic, the second is a fan switch which causes a small EMP event that shuts off the TV (long story), and another switch for home theater equipment that needs to stay on. I started looking into switch guards and most of them are goofy or are poorly made. These however, have some slick features and look great which keeps the wife happy. They also help guests raise their hand to ask a question instead of the switch which is a bonus. The installation is very easy, takes a couple minutes an outlet. There are two levels of security, one with the side flaps on and one with them off. I kept them on to double up as they would only rarely be used. Just keep a pen or pencil around when you need to use it as you have to go through a small hole on the top or bottom.

I have had many versions of these types over the years. I love these. I love that you can choose to keep the sides on and use a pen to turn on/off if need to or remove the sides to toggle on/off while protecting the front from accidental turn on/off. I always have them as I have ceiling fans that are remote activated for the fan and light so I wanted the switch to stay on to use the remote controls. I have outside lights that are dusk to dawn and motions. I want the same protection. This ensures when guests are over they don’t accidentally turn something on/off or children who love to play with switches.

Great product to keep people from unintentionally switching off a light switch you want to stay on. For example if you have lightbulbs activated by an echo you don’t want the light switch turned on and off all the time. But it does have one side open so that you can flip the switch on or off if you need to. Excellent product well thought out I highly recommend.

I didn’t even know this product existed but was hopeful it did- searched Amazon and was so thankful to find this. I have wild savage like twin boys that would not stop turning the fan to the fireplace on. Some other models had the sides open- the sides are secured on this and completely child proof. There are still 2 access holes at the top and bottom that you could easily reach with a pen. Highly recommend and would totally buy again.
