Clover 1053/K Amour Crochet Hook, Size K/6.5mm , Green

I ordered the 6.5 in a hurry and didn’t notice that the hook itself is plastic. As an experienced crocheter I found it very difficult to use, it’s a struggle to insert into the stitches on a previous row etc. Stick to metal or wooden hooks!

As a new crocheter, I have gladly taken the advice of seasoned crocheters who have previously reviewed these hooks. So glad I did. I have found these so easy to use, they glide through the yarn.

Very disappointed to see it is a plastic hook which I do not like. All of my other Clover Armour crochet hooks are steel and rubberized handles. This one is not and it did not mention a thing about this in the description. I have to keep it as I need the K size for something I am in a hurry to work on.

Found it doesn’t really glide with blanket yarn but seems to grab the yarn. However it works as well or better than most of my hooks. The rating is a 4 for 4ply yarn.

Excellent option for arthritic hands. Very comfortable to hold and extends time of use. Will also extend the years I can continue one of my favorite hobbies.
