Greater than one weekPretty and functional, this pendant has a nice heft. The bail that holds a chain to go around your neck doubles as a spool anchor if you want to keep your cutter on your spool instead of on your person. It also fits smaller split ring key rings, so you can carry on a key chain as well. I use mine on a regular basis and wear it with pride. Makes me appreciate the heritage of my craft.

Greater than one weekI double checked the TSA website, and this pendant is specifically banned for carry-on luggage. Knitting needles, on the other hand, are okay to include with your carry on luggage. (Does that make sense to anyone?) As mentioned in another comment, it really all depends on who is checking your bags and which airport you are traveling through. Still, this pendant is very convenient and easier to carry around. As a mother of toddlers I dont worry so much about them getting their hands on it.

> 3 dayThis is nicely made. It cuts thread well although it does not give as clean a cut as you would get with sharp embroidery scissors. I think it is perfect for what it does, and it looks nice too.

> 3 dayIt looks very nice, and it cuts yarn as well as thread. Its small enough to fit in my pocket.

> 3 dayheavier than I expected, but not so heavy that I wont use it. Hope it doesnt get confiscated. Took a small, blunt scissors on a trip and TSA had no problem with it, but when I tried to fly home with it from Costa Rica, they took it away. Planning another trip and hope I can stitch on the trip home with this.

> 3 dayAs a crocheter, I have used many threat cutters in the past and love them. This one is no exception. I like that i can take it on a plane, put it on a necklace and keep it around my neck as I work to remove simple threads that need cutting. It is TSA approved which is very nice. At the same time, it isnt big so it doesnt take up alot of space and it doesnt have any sharp points like some threat cutters in the shape of pens, which can stab into the size of a travel bag and your hand when you reach into a pocket. I love round thread cutters and the antique look of this one is just a bonus.
