Great for thread not sure about multiple embroidery floss and do not recommend on yarn above size 3.

This is a terrific little tool and a real time saver for anyone who sews or quilts. Instead of reaching for the scissors every time, this gadget is right there at the ready. Lots of little bays so should stay sharp for a good long while. Also seems safe for little fingers, if you have curious children in the house. Youll need to purchase your own chain or lanyard separately, but thats just as well since the length youll want it to hang from the neck will be individual to you.

Love everything about it! Will probably make a bracelet for it, instead of putting it on a necklace, though.

This works great as a portable yarn and thread cutter. I use this as my regular keychain and its come in handy very often. You can use it to nick the edge of a plastic wrapper or bag, for example, to get it open, or use it to cut a stray thread. Its a little airport-safe cutting tool. I love this thing.

Lovely cutter with an antique appear. Its impossible to cut yourself or cut baby little fingers. However, I feel its not as sharp as I expected. This will work fine if you need to bring a cutter onboard an airplane.

I strung this on a length of black silk ribbon, and I always have it around my neck when sewing. As a person who will find a way to cut herself on just about anything with any sort of edge, Im pleased to report that its next to impossible to cut yourself with this thing. I havent managed it yet, anyway. It cuts threads with almost no effort, and it has a pretty great old-fashioned feel. The TSAs website specifically calls these things out as banned items, so make sure to take it out of your project bag before getting on the plane!
