Unlike this vendors 5lb bag, this set of 5 1lb bags works pretty well. Its still impossible to rinse, but that not as important as people think. Definitely cleared my pond, leaving it crystal clear. Keep in mind that you dont need AC in your pond all the time and remember that it only works for a few weeks before needing to be replaced. Definitely a good value for a reasonably good product.

Horrible results. Like Robert, I followed all the directions, found that the rinse water never really ran totally clear, so went ahead and set up the bag at the waterfall in my 2800 gallon pond. After 2 days, my pond water was totally black, waterfall rocks covered with soot, couldnt see an inch below the surface. Pulled out the bag of carbon and it drizzled black water all over the ground - apparently this is what was pouring into the pond for 2 days. Had to drain and refill the pond and use quilt batting to remove the remaining carbon/soot. I dont dare try this again.

Does the job

We recently did some upgrading in our home and the smell of paint was everywhere, we tried everything to get rid of paint fumes but should have started with buying these magical smell removers. Opened up a couple of bags and put them into bowls around the house took about a week but we are currently smellf free. J. Novas Wife
