My husband requested a chain maille kit for Christmas and this was the ONLY one of its kind that offered multiple ring sizes, an instruction booklet with multiple weaves, tools and findings. He was so excited and has already made several projects. I would recommend this for beginners and intermediates.

This is exactly what I wanted to start off my chainmaille interest. Kit is amazing and come with anything it say it would. The book is great, THIS kit is so wroth the money. Great deal.

This kit has jump started my new favorite hobby, and was a great price for the amount of rings you get! I have since ordered more rings from a different company, and the gauges do not match up. Unfortunately, I do not have precision calipers to be able to discern which company is using non-standard sizing, but I can tell you that what Chainmail Joe calls 18g, Weave Got Maille calls 16g. That being said, within itself, this kit is incredible. The pliers are good and sturdy (Ive since upgraded to ones with sharper tips and more comfortable handles, but these are good for beginners), the book is easy to follow and understand, and the rings are bright and shiny with very few flaws (Ive found a few where it looked like the saw jumped when cutting the rings off the dowel). Id definitely recommend this product for beginners who want to try several different weaves and find their own style!

Exactly as described. Sturdy, well cut rings. Well packaged, double bagged. Two full pair of bent chain nose pliers. Excellent quality booklet with many weaves for learning beginners. This kit is awesome, has everything you need to get started. However, I did find it difficult when starting a design because all the jump rings are silver and it was alittle difficult to keep track of where I was. Only suggestion I have is maybe including different color jump rings in the kit. Highly recommend the kit though!

Beautiful, sturdy rings and very useful manual.tools are great for starting out

I do a lot of chain mail projects, ranging from cosplay to delicate jewelry. These rings were very well made. The intersection fits really well on the first try, and doesnt require a lot of manipulation to close gaps. Most rings had no gap. There were some rings that I had a hard time finding the connection to re-open them after Id set them. The edges were not so rough as to be problematic, and I am comfortable not soldering the joints. The finish is very shiny and durable. I havent come across any defective rings. The assortment is excellent for a wide variety of projects, and the instruction book is very well written and explained. The pliers I actually love. Ive spent ten times this on other pliers, and these pliers just fit my hand best. The packaging is even commendable. Great product and definitely worth it, especially for someone new to the craft for the best starter kit Ive seen.
