Greater than one weekI’ve not bought this kit but I have purchased all the rings in it and the book. I’ve found the book to be very helpful both to learning a weave and refreshing my memory on how I found shortcuts on a weave. I’ve not picked up my tools and rings for about two years due to having a serious injury to my right arm so I purchased the book after finding nothing good as a refresher, and it was just what I needed. The rings however are the best part of the kit. I’ve worked with rings from multiple sources and found this to be the hardiest especially now as I’m relearning how soft I need to grip the rings. I’ve also found them to be a great price

> 3 daySturdy metal, great price, and includes the tools. Also the instruction book is a $20.00 value alone. Easy to follow instructions for beginners with helpful advice on sizes for future purchases.

> 3 dayFirst off I want to say that I really liked this kit and wish I could give it 5 stars but one of the pliers wont close all the way without really squeezing hard and that is causing them to slip a lot or to drop the ring I am working on. You get so many rings with this kit that you will be able to practice the weaves in the book many times over. The only thing I wish was different in the book is in some of the weaves showing how to loop one ring through the others, i.e. with arrows showing directions, as I had to use Youtube to see how it was done. But I am happy I have the book I will always know what size ring to use for each weave in it.

Greater than one weekI purchased this set because I wanted to give meaningful, handmade gifts to family and friends for Christmas this year. The jewelry has turned out perfect and it is so much fun and easy to make! So far I have been making Byzantine bracelets and earrings, full Persian keychains, and Persian cross pendants. For the pendants I purchased the 14AWG/16SWG 3/8” ID jump rings(sold separately by the same store) for the big center ring on the cross. I didn’t know this upon purchase, but the set does come with quality key rings, lobster clasps, and toggle clasps. It does not come with earring posts or the open clasps I have in my pictures. 10/10 recommend.

> 3 dayMy boyfriend bought me this for Christmas, after me verbally drooling over it for a month or so, and I LOVE this. The images in the book are large, clear and easy to make out which ring(s) go where, so for some weaves I just wasnt able to understand, this cleared everything up. The rings are bright and shiny (although there are some burrs on some rings, with 23k+, I wouldnt expect not to find some), and there are plenty to complete any number of the projects again and again. The pliers are comfy in my smallish hands, but the edges on the working side are sharp, so be prepared to either get them ground, have Tool Dip around, or use an extremely light touch. I hope they decide to do a similar kit in assorted AA, someday, or add some to this kit.

> 3 dayNever having done chainmail before, I purchased this kit because it comes with an instruction book and a variety of jump ring sizes for a whole slew of different projects. Its a great deal, price-wise too. Ive attached a picture of some of the Byzantine rope Ive made for bracelets. Please do note that this kit only comes with silver jump rings - Ive purchased additional gold and black jump rings to use because now Im all into this. I will say that while the booklet is cool, I have needed to go to outside resources to help figure out how to do some of the weaves... (people have figured out some crazy ways to put together jump rings!). And Im still only through a few of them... My favs are Byzantine, Helm Chain and European 4-in-1. Lastly, Ill say that I think this brand of jump rings (Chainmail Joe) is both very high quality and exceptionally well priced as far as jump rings go. Ive purchased additional sizes and colors from Chainmail Joe as well as other brands (for different colors) but Ive been pretty disappointed with any other brands Ive purchased thus far... so, for now, Im definitely sticking with this brand.

> 3 dayI do a lot of chain mail projects, ranging from cosplay to delicate jewelry. These rings were very well made. The intersection fits really well on the first try, and doesnt require a lot of manipulation to close gaps. Most rings had no gap. There were some rings that I had a hard time finding the connection to re-open them after Id set them. The edges were not so rough as to be problematic, and I am comfortable not soldering the joints. The finish is very shiny and durable. I havent come across any defective rings. The assortment is excellent for a wide variety of projects, and the instruction book is very well written and explained. The pliers I actually love. Ive spent ten times this on other pliers, and these pliers just fit my hand best. The packaging is even commendable. Great product and definitely worth it, especially for someone new to the craft for the best starter kit Ive seen.
