Works as advertised

Exactly what was needed for the deeper Zipp rims. Removable valve core tubes and these extenders make everything so much easier. I wish you could buy different lengths in a set, but this was a huge improvement. 48mm valves on the tubes and 60mm extensions fit the 808 rear wheel well but are long on the 404 front wheel.

During the final lap of the Cedar Hill Race Festival in Cedar Hill, TX, the valve extender on my rear wheel failed, causing me to lose control and crash out myself and one other rider. Luckily the other rider is ok but I wasnt so lucky and ended up with a sprained shoulder and possibly a torn ACL (hopefully just a sprain). I have a video of the crash and you can see the tire instantly lose air, causing me to lose control and I have a picture of the tubes stem with whats left of the valve extender still screwed into the stems threads.

Really complements my Enve Wheels, these look and work great.

OK, so this is my second set (and third) of these continental valve extenders. Honestly, the third set is just a spare in the event that for some reason I need them. I have found that too much is better than not enough. I purchased the first set after I received my deep rim wheels from Flo (I dig these wheels and for the cost, the are quite nice). Flo sent me a set of Silca valve extenders, which broke during set up. I was really disappointed in them and became really disappointed that I couldnt use my wheels the day they came. I did a little research and ordered these. Install was quick and (even though Silca is just a one step process and this is three) this was an amazingly simple install. Rode these for IM Austin 70.3 and had no issues (except a nervous mistake prior to starting in which I flattened the tire by unscrewing the extender). I dont seem to have any air leaks, not any of significance anyway.

Excellent quality and perfect for the job

First off I want to point out that these didnt work for me as I thought they would have. I was setting up 50mm carbon rims, tubeless, forgetting the fact that I need the stems to be fastened to the wheel. These are not threaded to receive a holding nut and can easily be pushed into the rim causing air leakage. However, as a product these are a much better option than using extenders that screw over the presta core, where it is hard to check pressure with a standard gauge and needing to stick a piece of wire or spoke down the shaft the release air. The presta core screws right in to the stem allowing to easily achieve the a fore mentioned tasks. Definitely use a little Teflon tape on the threads before screwing into valve stem.

Very good and light. I remove a start because I find annoying that they force us to buy 2 when many people have a disc in the back and 808 in the front e.g.

I used these to help clear my 80mm carbon wheelset. Its worked excellent so far, and they held up through the ironman races I did. No air leaks.
