28-11-2024I bought a set previously about a year ago and immediately returned it for the same reason a lot of people here complain about: the smell. I bought these again hoping that maybe the quality had improved and I was pleasantly surprised. The filters didnt have such a pungent smell to it this time. Its there if you smell for it but its very faint. I installed it in the fan and the air smelled fine. The print on the hepa filter itself still looked like an imitation of the original filter that came with the fan but at least it was usable and fit.

> 3 dayI was a little nervous buying this product after reading some of the reviews about the smell. However, I needed replacement filter because the one came with the purifier has turned black after 8 months of used. I am glad that I gave it a try. The replacement filter has NO SMELL as some of the reviews indicated. It works great. I would recommended the product.

> 3 dayWhen I moved to New York City I was diagnosed with reactive airway disorder which was causing a terrible cough. My doctor recommended I buy an air purifier so I did some research on the most highly rated brands. Coway was highly recommended and was affordable so I took a chance and bought it. Within a few weeks my cough disappeared. I love to have my windows open which only adds to air pollution, so this became essential for me. But anyone who has healthy children or people with health problems would benefit from this. It is fairly quiet, in fact silent on the low setting, and easy to clean. It has a three filter system and the refills are affordable. I find that the full three part filter lasts about six months. Even if you do not have health problems this air purifier is a must for anyone’s home.

> 3 dayI was a bit skeptical when ordering because I have never used an air purifier before. We just moved into a small cabin which had lingering smoke and marijuana smells - turned on this machine and the smell was gone within an hour! I was amazed! It runs very quietly, was super easy to set up and get started, and it looks stylist and nice in my cabin. It is a bit pricey but so far is earning its way. As allergy season progresses we will see how it affects my husband’s ability to breathe better but so far I am extremely impressed!

> 3 daySecond time purchasing Conway replacement vs a clone/knockoff. This kit is the real deal and about $20 less than buying from Conway company.

Greater than one weekThis is an actual Coway filter set, manufactured and sold by Coway via Amazon. I saw various other options ,some a bit cheaper than this set, however I didnt want to take a chance and get a knock off filter set. After all I spent a couple hundred dollars on this air purifier from Bed Bath and Beyond so why cut corners and save $10 to risk getting a knock off. The packaging said Coway and the product was definitely brand new and fit my AP1512HH Coway Air Purifier like a glove. Its nice that with this particular order, you receive the HEPA filter, and two of the mesh filters as well, since they are meant to be changed once every 6 months and the HEPA filter is meant to be changed once every 12 months. If you purchase this item, you know that youre getting the original filters that go with this particular Coway air purifier (the big black box purifier with the silver round circle on the front!)

> 3 dayMy original purchase of the Coway Airmega AP-1512HHS air purifiers (I bought two) came with honeycomb frames filled with charcoal filtration beads instead of the cheap mesh replacement set. I want to cancel this subscription, but it does not seem intuitive. One air purifier seems to run red all the time, suddenly, indicating poor air quality. We havent changed anything in the environment. I swapped units, placing them in different rooms, and the one was still going red all the time despite the room change. I think something is wrong with it. I bought both in January, 2022. The one that indicates the red light nearly all the time smells like its burning when it runs. I have cleaned it and changed filtration. Nothing helps. The other one seems to perform fine.

> 3 dayI initially purchased the Coway AP-1512 unit based on a strong recommendation from a well known online review source in May of 2020. The unit met my expectations well for a year. In May of 2021 it was time to replace the filter, which I did with a replacement that I purchased from Amazon in October of 2020. As soon as I turned the unit on I was met with a very strong smell akin to oil or some type of adhesive. To me, this was completely unacceptable so I contacted Coway directly and after a series of emails they agreed that this was a known issue and they kept some on hand at their office to send out to folks that were experiencing this. They kindly sent me one directly from their office after assuring me that it would be completely odorless just like the original that came with the unit... IT WAS NOT! I may have run the machine for a total of 30 seconds before my entire living room was filled with a horrible stench. I immediately turned it off and removed the filter and placed it outdoors and opened some windows. My girlfriend came over about a half hour later and asked why my house smelled like a machine shop. The odor did eventually dissipate but now Im stuck with a machine that I cant use unless I can find a reliable replacement filter. Im not sure what is going on with Coway but Amazon should really consider not making these available until the problem is seriously addressed. In the end, I would strongly urge anyone considering this filter to keep my and others experiences in mind.

> 3 dayThis package comes with 2 carbon filters and 1 hepa filter. The filters work well. They noticeably reduce dust and airborne particles. Unfortunately the filters do not last long enough, especially the carbon filter. They advertise that they can last 6-12 months be we are lucky to get 6 weeks from the HEPA (running at high speed most days) while running through a carbon filter in 2-4 weeks. Our home is only a year old and we also have a HEPA vacuum cleaner. The house is not overly dusty but still the filters do not last as long as advertised. Also the price is a little high. $35 would be more reasonable considering how often they need replacing. Compared to other products the Coway is our favorite. We have owned Austin Air, Brondell O2 (have 3 also) and many others. We have no regrets about buying this product and would buy it again. Although I complained about a short life span of these filters, Brondell filters have an even shorter life span and more expensive. I recommend Coway but just know that your filters wont last as long as advertised.
