I am upgrading some of my security cameras and needed a satellite Power-over-Ethernet switch in my attic. This is an affordable PoE switch that supports 10/100/1000 Mbps connections as well as PoE on all eight ports. The maximum power on any given port is 30 watts (which is far more than any of my devices draw.) The switch fully supports the lEEE802.3af/at standard for Ethernet auto-speed detection and support of PoE. The switch has eight ports total, it does not have a dedicated uplink port. So if you are planning on connecting this switch to a main switch somewhere remember that you will need one of those ports to use for linking to that other switch. One neat thing you can do with PoE switches is to split the power using a PoE splitter on the remote end so you have a regular RJ-45 connector *and* a power connector. This is sort of the opposite of using a PoE injector if you dont have PoE switches. Keep in mind that all eight wires in a CAT 5e / CAT 6 cable need to be connected properly. Some cablers will only connect the wires necessary for Ethernet if they dont realize you are planning to use PoE. This is a good switch, follows industry standards, very easy to use, and affordably priced.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this switch. Its running four high definition PoE IP cameras and isnt blinking. For the price, its a great deal. Its very sturdy and quite a bit heavier than my other 8 port switches, which is only to be expected as theyre not injecting power. It seems very solidly made.

Its a nice feeling when a piece of electronic equipment doesnt need any complicated setup or configuration. Due to the current state of the world, I have a variety of devices in my office that I wanted to hard-wire to the internet to ease the strain on the WiFi in the rest of the house. So all I had to do was plug this into the wall, and run ethernet to my router and each device. Simple, no maintenance setup. Throughput seems good to each device and the box makes no noise and stays cool. Im not currently using any PoE devices on it but it is nice to have that option for the future.

I have been on a tear setting up security cameras at my home. Not that I live in a bad neighborhood or anything, I just want to have complete surveillance. So, the challenge was setting them up at the gutter line so to speak. Some cameras dont require any hookup at all, but only a sunny location so the solar panels keep the batteries charged. They work off of Wi-Fi and although I am impressed with their connectivity, I still am a dedicated hard wire fan. So, the thing is if you have a Wi-Fi camera that requires a power hookup, like a 110 A/C line feeding an adapter you will need to run that through the attic. If it is designed for a hard wire ethernet, plus an A/C adapter, you will need both. So now you are running A/C wiring connections in addition to Ethernet. The real conundrum is drilling holes in your home, and securing them from moisture and bug invasion makes it all the more challenging. So, next to a solar unit with possibly spotty Wi-Fi this is the best setup because you only run one ethernet cable, and nothing else. So, I put this POE switch to the test and ran it to my HView cameras and bingo it worked, no problems. Just make sure that if you run POE from every port on the switch you dont exceed the maximum output. So as a switch it works great, as a POE (Power Over Ethernet) it works great. What else is there. Highly recommended.

Works perfectly, just wish the one I got to review was the one I actually needed for my setup. I received the 8x 100mbps poe+ 2x gb port switch to review but I want ~8gb lines for my mesh routers, nas, desktop, and gaming console. Since these switches have so few reviews, I thought it was a good chance to test the quality before ordering one and I can honestly say Im pleased. Ill be ordering the 8gb port switch for actual use. The build is solid and the ports properly auto detect poe and non poe lines. These are quite a bit cheaper than the big names (netgear, linksys, etc). If youre just looking for a switch, there are cheaper options. A poe switch with the right setup means not having to run extra power lines when you upgrade components like routers and security cameras. You could also run devices like a pihole (adblocking DNS) or pinas without having to figure out power bricks. 120W is very convenient!

This CQENPR 10 port switch is very powerful, it has 8 PoE port and two Gigabit uplink. It is work with 120W, 802.3af/at and ready to plug and play with metal case. It is finless so it has no any noise. It has intelligent power supply, low power consumption, ensure PD side power demand and zero noise environment impact. I liked it and definitely recommend to buy.

This is a decent 8 port switch, sturdy construction good speeds. I did not use the POE as I only needed a standard switch.

Okay Ill be the first to admit I never heard of Cqenpr. But I needed a POE switch and I needed one fast so I took a chance. (see blow for explanation of POE) What a pleasant surprise! Firsdt of all this is a gigabit switch on all ports. The case is steel. It uses a plug instead of a brick so it doesnt take up extra outets. And even comes with rack mount adapters. The POE works great. I powered three devices - two security cameras and a network appliance and after 24 hours the box wasnt even warm. Throughput seems fine. I happened to have to update an old PC to Win 10 and the process through this switch went fast and flawless. Good value! *** POE - Power Over Ethernet *** In case you dont know, POE is a way of powering a device over the same cable as data. Many IP security cameras now use POE to simplify wiring. The same CAT 6 ethernet cable carries both data and power so only one cable is needed to each camera. This switch exceeds POE standards in supplying plenty of power out all eight ports. The total wattage though is divided up across all eight ports so just make sure you dont exceed 120W total, up to 30W for a single port.

As other reviewers have indicated, this device is a boxy thing and has somewhat of a cheap appearance. That being said, its metal and solid. By what Ive seen its nice and durable. More importantly, it works. Its also gigabit PoE which is awesome, most of the PoE switches Ive seen are 100 mbps. This is a relatively inexpensive, unmanaged switch which you can easily set up and power your PoE devices with. Ive had no issues with it so far.

I cant get it to power a brand new TP Link AC1350 AP. The AC1350 powers up fine with my 7 year old 4 port poe switch and an included splitter. However it powers a couple HIK cameras just fine and otherwise works as a switch. The price is good, but weird incompatibility with the AP means Ill probably return it if a little more fiddling doesnt resolve the issue.
