> 24 hourDuring the pandemic, I decided I would contribute my 3d printing capabilities towards producing PPE. (Just like so many other makers) However, one complaint I had, was the fact that the default magnetic bed that the Ender 3 came with, was a little less durable than Id have liked (Ive had to replace it 3x in the last 2 years). I looked around, quite often, for a Creality branded build plate, similar to the flex plates that other, more expensive, printers had. Eventually, I purchased a second printer, that came with a steel plate.. and its now my primary printer. When I saw this appear as a recommendation, I decided to give it a shot.... needless to say, I wish I would have just had the patience to wait. It works amazingly well, and so long as you know how to use it, it will last much longer than the default bed that comes with the Ender 3 Pro, AND it shouldnt warp. Obviously, Ive not had it long enough to test the warping, but right now, Im holding a level true across several dozen prints... so Im happy with this.

> 24 hourPEI flex steel beds are one of the best upgrades you can do to your printer. Cleans with IPA and a paper towel or melamine sponge. Sure, you can flex it and the prints pop right off - but articulated models bend with the plate... so just wait for the bed to cool all the way. The print is just sitting there, lose. Pretty slick

> 24 hoursimple Bed Upgrade to provide you with a textured surface to allow for better adhesion. Once you are done printing the surface lifts off and flexes to allow for easy part removal. One issue I had was that it didnt index back on very well, so it would be crooked. While this didnt effect printing, it did bother me

> 24 hourNever have to use a scraper on this build plate. Fine edges stay in place and dont curl. Adhesion is fantastic, and when the plate cools down the pieces slide off. Sometimes I can hear the moment it releases with a slight click sound. Have a done a dozen prints on this and not used the scraper once on it.

> 24 hourThe package includes one genuine Creality PEI steel bed and one magnetic sheet with a self-adhesive backing. No installation instructions are enclosed. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing how to install the new print surface. Watch a few until you find the description that suits your situation best. The steel bed has PEI on one side and a smooth surface on the other. You can print on the smooth side of the steel bed. Just make sure your material will adhere for the duration of the print. Remember to adjust your print and bed temperatures to the new PEI sheet.

> 24 hourI’m new to 3D printing so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this. I didn’t need the magnetic surface but the steel one has worked well for me. I’ve only done small pieces on it so I don’t know how well it works with getting large ones off, but the small ones popped off easily for me. I will update my review once I have a chance to use it with a larger piece but so far it’s working great for me and it’s better than the surface that came with my printer.

> 24 hourI chose this textured PEI sheet to use with my Ender 3 V2. Ive previously tried several different types of build plates on my Ender 3V2 including glass, spring steel, and smooth PEI. Upon opening the box i was surprised to find that this was actually a Creality branded product. Inside the box it came with the build plate itself which is one side Textured PEI, on the other side steel. Additionally a 3m sheet that is one side adhesive and one side magnet for mounting the build plate. I already had a magnet on my printer so i just went ahead and placed the pei sheet on my existing one. I releveled my printer than started to print immediately. I did several small prints and each print stuck to the build plate. Some of them stuck a little too well and took a bit of effort to remove. I did 4 prints, no cleaning in between each print, except to remove left over pla, and overall had no issues with prints sticking. Of my experience with different build plates, i prefer a smooth pei sheet as my prints would stick to those but not to the point where it takes much effort to remove. I was also a bit disappointed that the other side wasn’t a smooth pei instead of steel.

> 24 hourBought this after a portion of my stock Ender 3 bed was torn off during removal of a print. It stuck right on to my original magnetic sheet and popped a large PETG print off with one bend. Will certainly be using these PEI beds from now on!

> 24 hourThis print surface has fantastic adhesion qualities. It’s been wonderful for my silk PLA and even some PETG prints I’ve done on it. However, I did a large 25+ hour print on it with a matte PLA and the filament fused to the surface. Flexing didn’t help to remove it. Freezing didn’t help. Freezing and flexing didn’t help. Eventually, the print (literally) broke off leaving much of the first few layers on the PEI sheet. I haven’t used it since because I can’t figure out how to clean the stick-on filament off. Plus the long print that was ruined is really frustrating. But again, the surface has been really incredible up until this happened.

> 24 hourI am a 3D printing enthusiast. Im always looking for ways to make my 3D printing setup even better. Ive never used anything else except the magnetic build surface that came with my 3D printer, so I was interested in trying out this steel bed. This 3D printer bed comes with two parts. The steel printing surface and a magnetic sheet with an adhesive backing. This adhesive magnetic sheet is nearly identical to the one that comes with the Ender 3 Pro. And because I have an Ender 3 Pro, I didnt have to use the magnetic sheet. The steel printing surface stuck onto my existing magnetic bed just fine. The steel is a lot stiffer than the magnetic printing surface that comes with the Ender 3 Pro. The steel surface also has a courser texture than the stock magnetic surface. Both the stiffness and course surface made getting consistent prints easier. With the steel printing surface, I had to worry less about unevenness on the surface, and parts seemed to stick better. Removing parts from this surface is easy. A little bend pops the part right off. Im very pleased with this product. However, I wish the surface itself was just a touch bigger. The steel surface is almost exactly the size of the magnetic surface, this makes lining up the steel surface with the magnetic bed difficult. I kept wishing I had just a couple more millimeters all the way around. Given that I rarely print to the edge, I simply shifted the entire plate to the left just a little to catch the plastic primed from the nozzle. Overall, this is a solid upgrade from the stock magnetic build surface. Im glad I picked it up.
