17-11-2024I upgraded to the dual extruder from the stock plastic one. Honestly its not better. My esteps were over 130 initially, and eventually 150, adjusting over a years time. It just kept slipping more and more, unreliable. This extruder has my esteps down close to 100, and consistent results. It would be nice if the lever accepted a PTFE tube, either threads or a hole, but this one is not like that.

> 3 dayMuch easier to install than the third-party options. Actually comes with instructions. Dont forget to calibrate your e-steps after swapping.

> 3 dayThe extruder assembly I got with my Ender 3 Pro machine was terrible - the gear being out of round and causing filament to under/over-extrude alternating layers. This Creality upgrade had all parts looking great, perfectly round brass gear, everything fits together nicely and works perfectly. No more over-underextrusion issue. NOTE: if you got an Ender 3 / Ender 3 Pro and the brass gear is *fused* to the motor shaft then this Creality upgrade extruder will not (perfectly) work for you. You will not be able to replace the existing brass gear in this case. The other parts may fit / work well / work better than what you have, but you wont get the benefit of the replacement brass gear unless you purchase an extruder stepper motor separately that will take the gear.

> 3 dayThe extruder upgrade works fine on a CR-6 SE and is worthwhile upgrade. I wore out the brass gear in the stock extruder and taking the stock extruder apart to service is a huge pain. It is also difficult to re assemble and is made of cheap plastic. The M3 X 18 SHCS screw in the kit is a little short but there is a longer M3 X 18 SHCS screw on the CR-6 SE stock extruder that you can trim to have a screw the right length. The M3 X 18 SHCS screw in the kit worked for me, but I was careful and did not over tighten. The seller in the Q&A says that this will not fit on a CR-6 SE for some reason. This upgrade works just fine.

> 3 daySo as cheap as all the creality brand upgrades are, why tf arent they just included already when you buy the printer. I have had to upgrade this, the build plate, the board, add bl touch and I would have gladly just paid an extra $75 and not have wasted 7 days of print time and $40 in filament from failed prints due to sub par parts. This product was ok, but didnt come with all the screws, I had to go to the hardware store to get it together and get back up and running.

Greater than one weekThis upgrade is absolutely essential for all owners of an Ender 3. After my plastic extruder snapped, I purchased this and my printer has worked flawlessly ever since.

Greater than one weekDirect replacement for the Ender 3 Max. Idk what happened to my original part, but it stopped grabbing no matter what adjustments I made.
