AS MENTIONED NOT QUITE THE QUALITY OF ORIGINAL VISE GRIPS BUT FOR THEY PRICE THEY DO WHAT I NEED THEM TO DO WITHOUT HAVING TO DAMAGE MY SNAP ON OR ORIGINAL VISE GRIPS. MAINLY USED FOR WELDING, JUNK YARD TRIPS OR ANYTHING THAT REQIRES GRIPPED AND THE HAMMERED. EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATION. ONCE AGAIN, FOR THE PRICE YOULL FIND NONE BETTER.

I needed a decent set of locking pliers. This set was a bit more expensive than those available at the big box stores. However, the construction of the mechanisms as well as the teeth in the gripping area make them a favorite. I have used the smaller ones more than I have ever imagined that I would.

Like others say, they are good, but not as good as the USA made ones that are no longer made. The set is very well put together. This is really all you will need for most jobs.

If you can afford it, go with the regular brand vise grips. These seem to open by themselves way too often

This brand gets my loyalty due to its great quality, Cresent is synonymous with quality. You might buy a cheaper tool, but you are buying a cheaper quality, the nominal difference in price comes with a huge difference in quality!

Good pliers but the quality is not that good. Haven’t really used them much but will this summer when I start welding and doing wood projects and working on cars.

I bought this cheap set of tools to fill out a spare box and boy did I get what I paid for. Where to start, well the jaws dont line up under pressure so they do not clamp down straight. Which would be understandable on the needle nose sets, but not on the curved jaw sets. The tension screws bind up and the jaws chip and round. If you only intend to use these tools to grab on to large rounded, or frozen parts where you can set the tool up at a 90° angle, they will probably be okay. If you have to get a broken stud out of a space where there is just enough room to get the tool in, well buy something better.
