> 3 dayI have several of these scattered about my apartment (window ac units, dryer, lamp, fan) and bought a few more just for spares. They connected easily. My only concern was security. These plugs and just about any other cheap internet device should be connected to a vlan or to your guest wifi network for an added layer of security. It doesnt need to be on the same network as the devices you want to control them with (ie echo, smartphone etc). These plugs are 2.4ghz wifi only. I can see why some people are having trouble connecting these if they dont understand what that means. Ill try to explain as simple as possible. Just about every router in your home these days support 5ghz ***AND*** 2.4ghz wifi. Never in 20 plus years have I seen a router that does not support 2.4ghz. Before you begin the setup process you MUST make sure your phone/tablet is connected to your 2.4ghz ssid (some routers will be setup with the same ssid for both 5ghz and 2.4ghz so this wont matter to you). If you are connected to a 5ghz ssid the plug wont see it and it will never connect. Once connected you can control the plug via the crestin app no matter what network your phone is connected to (home, cellular, mcdonalds wifi etc). Enable alexa, google assistant whatever you want in the crestin app and youre good to go. Good luck

> 3 dayThese are great. Got 2 for the same price as some of the other brand names and work just the same. Had to download there app then from there can sync it to your Alexa or Google home. The initial sync to their app took a few minutes but then just a few seconds to get it to work with Alexa.

> 3 dayThe website list frequently asked questions, but then you cant click on them or see any answers to them. Tried multiple times to set up switched, and they just wont connect (2.4 wifi)

> 3 dayI assume this product works fine but it didn’t work with my Alexa products, so that’s why it’s only getting two stars. The Crestin app is no longer compatible, if it ever was. I’m willing to revise this review if I get some feedback on how to resolve this issue. So far, the Smart Life app does not work.
