> 3 dayI rarely writ glowing reviews, but I have an 8 yo Dell Optiplex 790 with 8gb ram and 250gd hard drive. The drive was full and runs windows 10 So sloooow. I purchased the Crucial 1tb hd, downloaded the free Acronis software from Crucial website and it walked me through the whole process. 4 hours later, I removed my old hard drive, put this SSD in its slot and I feel like the computer is 300% faster! No drag time at all and I now have 750GB extra to play with. I would recommend that you purchase a powered USB to SATA SSD adapter or at least make sure you have the extra power and sata cable inside your PC. > 3 dayUsed it to update my old laptop and worked a treat. Made it much faster. However, I then used the MX500 for my current laptop and after some initial problems to transfer the content of my hard disk, this seems to be even faster, but could also be related to the higher speed of the processor. Nevertheless would recommend to maybe spend a little bit more for the MX if your budget is not too tight.

> 3 dayThis is the second one I have by bought. Original one had been to upgrade an I5 Lenovo which came with a 128Gb SSD. To be fair this replacement wasnt as fast as the original stock item but it was still a worthy upgrade for the extra space. The recent upgrade had been in my partners lenovo AMD A9 v110 which came with a 1 TB 5400rpm blue WD stock Hdd. Boot start up was so slow it was unbelievable (approx 5 mins before we could do a thing on it) despite having less than 50 GB of space used. Opening programs was also painfully slow. Watched a you tube video on how to change the drive and put a new install of windows 10 version 2004 on it. This laptop is completly different now. Gets to the password screen in around 20 seconds. Havent transferred any large files so cannot clarify its performance in this regard. For less than £30.00 its has made a very noticeable difference. At the same time bought a 2.5 inch caddy and put the WD in this for and extra 1TB of External Portable storage. Win win situation. Separate note usable space on this SSD is actually 223gb rather than 240gb
