Crucial MX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5 Inch Internal SSD, up to 560MB/s - CT1000MX500SSD1

Ive had it for about a month, the difference I have noticed is its faster loading and launching gta 5. Its the only heavy workload program I use.

Ive been editing photos using Kingston ssds for quite a few years, ordered a 2tb mx500 tried it in a mid range pc and a laptop, what a difference! Everything is much faster, Sending a pic to my Mrs on FB messenger used to take about 10 seconds after I hit send before her phone notification went off, now its pretty much immediately, maybe a second at most compared to 5-10 seconds with every Kingston Ive got ( quite a few ) , exporting images is probably 5-10 times quicker, boot up is within a few seconds, I cant believe I didnt know about these sooner.

Image your old hard drive so this SSD.

For storage its fine. Nothing spectacular. IF you plan on using the cloning software dont bother. There are myriads of posts on its well known issues in regards to the software crucial provides to even format the thing. Wish I had done my research. Cloning? Forgetaboutit. It takes hours and loops at random points in the installations. Disappointing that crucial is staining its reputation with the pages and pages of what to try next to get its Acronis software to function. It took awhile just to get windows to recognize it even. Had to run the management software to partition and or format before you can even attempt Acronis. Its a mess. Not a problem any company should be having in 2023. And I had to guess at what firmware it had by date because some were up to date and some werent, and if you tried to update it and it was already current it warned of possible further issues. SMH I wont be buying crucial in the future.

My old Toshiba responds so quickly now thanks to this product. It was so easy to install because the company (Crucial) has all the information we need to install it correctly.

Great storage for just normal computer. More storage then what I really needed for the price.

Good drive and I havent had any issues with any of the Crucial drives that I own.

I just installed one of the two 500GB MX500 SSD from Crucial that i Received today. I upgraded a Dell Latitude E5430 (I added 16 GB of memory, an i7 4th generation processor as well). The cloning took less than 1 hour using the Acronis program. The Dell E5430 with the windows 10 pro really flew over the cuckoos nest with these upgrades. OMG! So fast! I am a happy guy.
