CTEK (56-304) Comfort Connect Extension Cable, 8.2 Feet

I own 2 of these cables. Neither one works right. I have a CTEK MXS 5.0 charger that I use to maintain my 2 AGM car batteries. In fact, I like the charger so much I bought a second one. I dont know if its the connectors or the cable itself, but when its used with this charger, the charger will get stuck in DESULFATION mode at the beginning of the program and take nearly forever to progress, if at all. Maybe theres some resistance or a bad connector faking out the chargers voltage sensing, but I just cant use this cable with it. Ive tried snugging up the connectors and using an anti-ox compound to help with resistance, but no luck. I dont recommend anyone purchase this item if you use a CTEK MXS 5.0 at least. I just hook it up straight to the comfort pigtails that are installed on both my auto batteries with no issues, so theres something wrong with this particular extension cable.

Perhaps a bit pricy but if you need to extend your CTEK charger this is what you need. As other reviewers mentioned it should come with a rubber cap on the connector but besides that its great.

A nice extension for connecting from the charger to the battery. This allows the charger to placed outside the engine and even away from the vehicle being charged. It is designed to be used with other CTEK Components keeping the + and - leads connected correctly.

I was a little disappointed that the wire used is pretty stiff for the duty. Im a little concerned that flexing in service here will lead to premature failure. It hasnt failed yet (too early to tell). I was expecting the wire conductors to be the same more flexible materials used for the maintainers, and its definitely different. It may never be an issue, depending on how many disconnect, hang the cable, then reconnect cycles it has to endure in my service. Worked perfect

It is as advertised. But, it is only 8 feet long. I need a much longer cable. They can easily make a 15 foot cable with thicker wire.

This CTEK extension allows me to connect the alligator clips to my battery while having the battery charger inside near the outlet. Very handy in the winter when I need to top off a infrequently driven vehicle while not leaving the garage door open. The wiring is not too thick (which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it) and doesnt appear to effect the current coming from the charger. Although, when using the extension, I have noticed the voltage drops to 14.12 instead of the advertised 14.4 in the owners manual during stage 3.

Product As expected. Could be a little longer since I have a big garage and got this to avoid using an extension cord.

I bought two of these cables so I can charge my battery while my truck sits in my driveway. I use one extension when I can get close enough to the overhead door, I add the second when it is a little further back (leaving room to get my trash / recycling cans and other stuff in and out of my garage). So far both work as intended, and no problems when using two extensions together.

Used with a Ctech charger perfect, The small cord fits through the door on my 911 and works perfectly with the charger it takes seconds to hook up and is maybe have to charge of the Porsche charger and really the same charger but not with the Porsche label on it.
