> 3 dayThey are impossible to get your tire off the wheel once installed without serious risk in damaging your carbon rims. I had to CUT a new tire and the CushCore off in order to get the tire off my Mavic carbon rims. The risk of damage was so great that that is what I was forced to do. ALL to resolve a air leak on my tubeless wheelset.

Greater than one weekIm a 185lbs rider with a 160/140mm travel bike in Arizona, and Im fairly aggressive downhill. After cracking a carbon rim in the rear despite running a 29x2.5 Aggressor at 23psi, and bending an aluminum rim + pinch flatting the 27.5x2.8 Nobby Nic at 18psi, I decided to just pony up for Cushcore. Well, I wont be breaking any more rims. I accidentally dropped my plus tires to 7psi (was playing with pressures on new Rekons) and sent it down a hill, setting my second fastest time despite all the drag. No rim damage, no rear squirm, and no worries.

> 3 dayI am 230lbs and ride rock trails in West Texas. I wanted to run lower pressure but would have issues with burping my sidewalls. These definately helped with a minimal weight penalty. Installing them wasnt too bad. Just watch the YouTube videos.

23-11-2024At first, the performance benefits are awesome, but the insert quickly stretches out and loses lots of the sidewall support that makes it so awesome. After about a month of riding, the insert no longer sits tightly on the rim and is very loose. This also makes installing it much harder. After contacting Cuchcore, they said it is just time for a new cushcore. Lasting this long makes cuschore insanely expensive.

> 3 dayIncredible! Helps protect and gives you a little more squish. I have them on both of my bikes, front and back.

> 3 dayTerrible experience using cushcore on my rear tire. I had a terrible accident on a long jumping downhill the tire dont roll good speed or accelerate very bad, damping very bad, the bike feels heavy stamped on the jumps, like flat tire all the time. I prefer to brake the rim but not myself. I recommend to use a good dh casing tires with normal tubeless or a regular tube with anti puncture band for dh racing. I think cush core is only good to go slow on rocks or people who dont like to jump and protect carbon rims. I heard that tannus tubeless could be a good option and its between to use tube and cushcore because, because you have more air on the tire, but never tried. Conclusion: If you like to jump, never use cush core for your safety, if you dont jump its ok to use it.
