CushCore Tyre Insert Set

> 3 dayAt first, the performance benefits are awesome, but the insert quickly stretches out and loses lots of the sidewall support that makes it so awesome. After about a month of riding, the insert no longer sits tightly on the rim and is very loose. This also makes installing it much harder. After contacting Cuchcore, they said it is just time for a new cushcore. Lasting this long makes cuschore insanely expensive.

> 3 dayWatched all the videos about this product before installing. Even with the videos, I wasn’t able to successfully install either of Cush Cores. Found the product too tight around the rim to have any room to properly install the tire bead. After trying to install them for 3 hours I finally gave up. The material is good quality and I’m sure if I was able to install them they would work well.

24-11-2024Came in good condition. Installed fine. Pretty expensive, but I don’t want flats or rim strikes and I’m bigger than your typical mountain biker so this is super helpful.

Greater than one weekThese have worked well to protect my 1200$ rims. great customer service as well. My installer couldnt get them balanced, the company was contacted and sent out a new pair no questions asked. The installation was not hard for the guy who did it, took about 10 minutes. used alot of soap

> 3 dayIve wanted a set of these for a while and finally decided to install them when I upgraded tires. They are a PAIN to get your tires seated back on the wheel, but they add a noticeable amount of extra cushion and peace of mind. It will take a while to put them on but theyre worth it.

> 3 dayI am 230lbs and ride rock trails in West Texas. I wanted to run lower pressure but would have issues with burping my sidewalls. These definately helped with a minimal weight penalty. Installing them wasnt too bad. Just watch the YouTube videos.

> 3 dayAs expected, not the easiest to install so watch the YouTube videos and it just takes a bit of effort. Put them on both mountain bike and love running lower pressure for grip and no worries about pinch flats. Not cheap but when youre $4k in a bike its worth the investment plus I saw at least 10 people with flats at the bike park last weekend

> 3 dayI love the fact that I can run WAY lower pressure in my tires, especially running 29x2.6s. Currently installed on 32mm wide rims, so I had to get the CushCore Pro to allow for the wide tires but difference between CushCore and no inserts is night and day. I really didnt want to have to pay an additional weight penalty, 2.6 wide tires AND the heavy version of CushCore, but the amount of traction available is definitely worth it! The biggest gripe I have is that the inserts were the biggest pain I have ever had to deal with in terms of bike maintenance. Ive seen all of the hacks and cheats and easy methods of installing CushCore, but in real life they were a huge pain. I found it a little easier to have one side of the tire on the rim already and then squeeze the CushCore in through the other side of the tire. Its definitely not easy to push the tire bead into the rim channel once the CushCore in on the rim so I got as much of the tire on the rim before dealing with the CushCore. All said, I would get CushCore again and I would recommend it to anyone who rides mountain bikes. I havent tried any of the other brands but Im also a firm believer in you get what you pay for and I will pay the premium price if the product has a good reputation, CushCore has the reputation that I will gladly pay for. I am just a regular consumer so I dont get hand-outs and I would love for the cost to be lower but until the day comes when CushCore goes on sale Ill still buy at consumer prices.
