Greater than one weekTube is a little smaller than the size of my little finger. Color is pretty in the description but more like an almost ripe avocado color in reality. Fresh, not dried out. It should last a while but I wouldnt buy it again because the difference between color presentation in the ad and reality.

> 3 dayDaniel Smith is the best. Its made in America and top quality. Unbelievable pigments sourced from minerals, mostly, from the US. They cost more because they are top quality PIGMENTS, not dyes (that fade, dont perform as well, and glaze poorly) so this is what you get if you or someone you know is taking art seriously. These blend well with other colors, create great shadows, warm up, or cool down a color. Just blown away and very proud of this company. Asian watercolors are for Eastern papers & Western watercolor companies perform their best on 100% pure cotton paper, so all of this gets expensive VERY quicky! The tubes are small (most are) with watercolors because youre just staining/glazing the paper. If youre just starting out, get the Cotman field kit (Windsor & Newton) and then these if youre down for the challenge...and this will take YEARS! Most people are beginners even @ 3 years of working with watercolors. Daniel Smith is one of the newer companies out there and I hope they have the staying power that some of the older companies do because I plan on investing (this will take time) on using this companys watercolor paints exclusively. Yep. That good. Thank you to all the people at this company for making such a high quality, beautiful selections, and original colors. This is the stuff of American dreams.

> 3 dayI was astonished at how small this tube was. 5 ml when all of the other Daniel Smith paints I purchased at my local art store were 15 ml for essentially the same price. I now see that this quality described as fine, but I certainly dont see a difference. Not enough to justify 1/3 the amount for the same price.

> 3 dayWatercolor made from amethyst crystals. It’s a gorgeous purple and when dry sparkles beautifully from the crushed up crystal. There’s really nothing out there like it and if you like purple then this should be part of your palette.
